Amazing historical site! Beautiful setting with many places to sit. Great family trip or simply take a walk through the woods and step back in time. Visit the birthplace of transcendentalism at the Old Manse. Concord is a beautiful town and has many great places to visit and dine. Highly recommended!!

The visitor's center was a beatific 4 minute walk from the parking lot, over a small creek wooden walkway, past a pond, and a through a grassy open space. The 25 minute multi-media presentation on the events around the start of the revolutionary war was one of the best we experienced in the past week. The large map atop the stage setup show a "real time" timeline of the events that day via lit LED lights. White for militia and red for the British, our family followed the timeline quite easily from mom and dad, down to the 5YO. The multimedia nature of the presentation kept our interest and deserved 5 stars. The ranger and shop register person were both very friendly and helpful.

I was here during winter, so I can't comment much, but what I can say is the property is very clean and beautiful under a blanket of snow. The monuments and facilities are kept clean and wide open spaces for groups to enjoy the history. I think I saw a few walking trails. I believe these are the real trails hacked out of the wilderness for the British army to travel and ultimately end in conflict at the Battle of Concord. Overall very neat experience!

For a history buff visiting Boston this is a must-see destination. The visitor center has an informative audio visual presentation that recreates the first battles of the American revolution. The trail is quite beautiful and runs along the old Concord road where many of the first battles were fought. Signs along the trail offer great deal of information about historic sites. The trail is great for walking, running or bicycles too. One of favorite places to visit in every season.

The park boasts a trail-the Battle Road-of approximately 4.5 miles through the woods. There are several restrooms along the way. The National Park maintains several whiteness houses as they would have been in 1775/1776. The visitors’ center has an excellent video for anyone who needs to brush up on their history surrounding the revolutionary war.
