Stopped by to grab a dessert for a party. Lots of options to choose from. Ended up going with a couple dozen Halloween themed cookies. They were a huge hit and gone before I could even grab one!

Mirabelle Cafe.
Being my first time, it wasn't obvious to me what to do. No signs, no lunch menu posted anywhere. It looks like just a wonderful bakery. Now, I know the drill. The outdoor seating looks charming and inviting but very uncomfortable. We needed to move to another table and that did the trick. Staff is very friendly but only one person working the counter, inside and outside patio. No worries, we weren't in a hurry anyways. The menu is well rounded but I couldn't find any one item that fit the bill. So they didn't have a problem with accommodating my special request. My salad was large, fresh and delicious. It would have been perfect if a nice roll and butter would have accompanied it. You'd think it would for the price. But alas, I saved my carb intake to try out their pastries. Very yummy.
I recommend you try Mirabelle Cafe.

Waiter was attentive and fast.  The outside area reminded me of a trip to Paris I took at age 11.  Ordered eggs Benedict.  Received eggs perfectly poached a la minute (most places batch poach then reheat) and a freakin textbook perfect hollandaise.

Also, since it's not the kind of thing most people would mention, I'll point out there's a bidet in the WC.  So basically this place is as European as it gets in Sacramento.  Top of the list for breakfast out here.

My first visit today was very disappointing.  First - the outdoor seating uncomfortable and very noisy, would try inside if I go again.
Second - terrible service, we waited half an hour to place an order and another half hour to get food and the restaurant was not anywhere near capacity.  Third - the food was better than the service but mediocre at best.  I had veggie omelet, it was like a veggie sandwich with raw veg inside a egg patties.  One star is for the potatoes- delicious!!

This locals place is sensational! Homemade food and excellent decadent pastries and desserts. Owners and staff are so friendly and helpful!
