Visiting Mission BBQ was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Right from the moment I walked in, the warmth and friendliness of the staff were unmistakable. Everyone was keen on welcoming guests into the store, creating an inviting atmosphere that felt more like being greeted by old friends than just entering a restaurant. For someone new to Mission BBQ, their patience and helpful guidance in ordering were incredibly appreciated. They didn't just stop at taking the order; they made sure I knew where everything was, truly going above and beyond in customer service. But let's talk about the food—it was simply amazing. Every bite was a testament to how good barbecue can really taste when it's done right. It's clear that Mission BBQ places a high value not just on the quality of their service but on the quality of their food as well. In a world where genuine hospitality and delicious food are prized, Mission BBQ stands out as a beacon of both. I left feeling thoroughly satisfied and already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-notch BBQ experience accompanied by unparalleled customer service.
As I opened the door I was welcomed with an energetic greeting from Kermit. He displayed excellent customer service as it was my first time at Missions BBQ and certainly not my last. His recommendations were appreciated. I’m not a fan of vegetables but Kermit didn’t disappoint when he said that the broccoli salad was his go to. I unfortunately didn’t make it in time for brisket but the pulled pork, sausage, mac n cheese, broccoli salad, and sweet potato pie definitely hit the spot! Great to see a fellow Chamorro in Ohio, Thank you!
I and my freind came in on 4/3/2024 around 3:00 for a late lunch, forgive me for forgetting his name, but the shift manager that day and staff was more than exceptional, nice and accommodating that day, best customer service I ever experienced at an eatery, and the food was EXCELLENT! fall off the bone ribs and tender flavorful smoked meat's! This place is so phenomenal and you feel like they really care about your experience while there, this is a gem in mentor and I'll be returning every chance I get. Thank you guy's for such good food and beyond great customer service, everyone was smiling and so nice to us!
This was our first time going and we will definitely go back. The ribs were tender and moist, the cheesy potatoes were amazing! And the green beans were pretty good also. The brisket and pulled pork were kind of dry and bland and the baked beans taste like it was just cooked in bar b Que sauce so I wouldn’t get those again. The staff was very nice and service was fast. But again we would definitely go again.
This place is like going home to Texas, the second you walk in the aroma of the food let's you know you won't be disappointed. The staff is always top notch friendly and accommodating. We are definitely regulars nowFood: 5/5
We love Mission because the food and service are great, and they have enough seats if we ever have a big group. The food is fresh, the staff are super friendly, and they often give us free treats like samples, cookies, or brownies. As a family with a long history of service, we also appreciate their mission to support service members and first responders.
I absolutely love this place they're pulled pork in their brisket. Are the best around you pay a little bit more, but it's more than worth it. And the people that work there are always friendly and helpful. Love it. Love it, love. It. Can't say enough. Good stuff about it. Parking: Yes, there is handicapped parking and regular parking all around the building. They share with a Chipotle.
I have been wanting to try Mission BBQ, my wife doesn't care for spicey food so the only Mission BBQ I have tried before was the Oak smoked brisket with two sides and cornbread. I literally couldn't eat all of that take out meal at one sitting! Previously the baked Cheesy potatoes were good and the seasonal side of bread pudding was excellent! The cornbread was okay. Couldn't find any butter to put on my cornbread in the carryout box. I didn't have a complete set of utensils, but I found 3 spoons! Overall, my first experience was a satisfying, belly filling, delicious meal. Today, I actually got to visit the restaurant. I must say as a former Ohio EMT-Paramedic I felt honored amongst the various displays in the restaurant of Civilian First Responders and our Armed Forces. This counter service style restaurant is clean and well kept. As a Disabled/Retired customer I found the cost a little pricey. Two years from Its initial opening I tried the SaImon, with a side of Cole Slaw finding the Salmon well prepared and the taste of the Cole slaw somewhat mediocre. I sampled both the glass bottled Vanilla frosted soda and the Fountain Soda in a First Responder Cup. Both tasted great... the bottled soda had a robust taste and the Fountain drink tasted like the mix was right! Like Most BBQ restaurants in Mentor, on a Retired persons budget, this place is pricey! But the offering of 6 different flavors of Sauces to try on whichever meat you choose is Unique! The Men's restroom was clean and decorated in Mission BBQ's own style. All I can say is If the Yum is what you're looking for...mission's accomplished! Parking: The parking is tight with cars from the three businesses on adjacent lots Constantly coming and going! Watch your mirrors and stay alert during peak times to avoid backing accidents!
Brisket was fantastic! A cross between pot roast and smoked brisket. Just fell apart trying to fork it up....Mac and cheese was pretty good twice cooked and loaded with cheese!
Rowan gave the best customer service I've ever had. He was a very polite gentleman, connecting with me individually and took time out of his day to see how my day was. Not only did he actually listen while I was eating my food he came and checked on me. He will be the reason I return here many more times. I do hope in the future I see him in a better position in the company. He strives to bring the best out of people and he does that very well.
