Mission Oaks is a Muskingum Valley Park District Garden located in a quiet residential neighborhood of Zanesville, Ohio- open to the public.
Mission Oaks Gardens is dedicated to preserving green space in Appalachia Ohio and providing educational information and experiences in horticulture. The Gardens contain more than 8 acres of both common and unusual plants. It features two waterfalls, a babbling bog garden, a color wheel perennial garden, a large pond, walking paths, a gazebo, and one of the most renowned conifer gardens in the state.
Staff and volunteers help maintain and host these unique gardens.
Educational programs are held regularly in the recently constructed Muskingum Valley Park District Volunteer Building located near the gardens.
