Had a wonderful experience at mission ranch. Went for dinner on a clear October evening and was seated on the patio overlooking the field where the sheep graze. Sun was still out when we arrived and the sheep were still out. Was a sight when the sheep were herded to there quarters. The a family of deer arrived, the sun set over the water and hills was such a beautiful sight. Dinner was excellent, had braised short ribs with mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies(zucchini). I can't explain how soft the meat was, but it was gosh darn amazing. Service staff was friendly and full of info. Thank you Bethany (waitress) for a great evening..

Came for Sunday brunch which is has one of the best scenery around! Open prairies with sheep roaming-truly spectacular. The brunch items was just ok. One glass of sparkling wine is included and a very small selection of items to choose from. 
Only made to order item was omelette. No fresh seafood such as crab legs or shrimp offered. They do offer a pretty good clam chowder.

1800s era dairy farm now a restaurant bar wedding venue. Clint Eastwood owns and frequents it. Flock of sheep in the pasture. Bucolic views to the sea. Gorgeous. Right next to Carmel River School. Sunday Brunch buffet too.

Very quaint cottage. Nice grounds. Restaurant has pretty views. Food average.

Restaurant was delicious and location is very scenic. However, beds were terrible resulting in very little sleep. Visit but don't stay.

If you go in the evening there's a good chance that you will be able to see sheep in the pastor.
