I had an emergency situation (to me) at 7pm where an old style outlet had starting getting hot which started melting a power cord that was plugged into it. We could smell burning plastic in the house and even heard some crackling before the outlet eventually stopped working altogether.

Needless to say, I was pretty freaked out about it and had to shut off the circuit breaker to that part of the house. So, I looked up emergency electrician services and found the number for Mr Sparky as I wanted to get it fixed right away...that same night if possible.

I called Mr Sparky and got an answering service who told me that someone would call me back asap. I got a call within the hour from "Shawn" from Mr Sparky who told me it was OK for them to come tomorrow instead of making an after hours visit to my house (saved me $199) because I had shut off the breaker.

Shawn showed up the next morning at 9:30am and took apart the outlet and showed me the problem. (old style outlet + loose connection).

He was very professional and explained all of my price options for replacing the outlet. I think the pricing was very fair.

He got the job done extremely quickly, was friendly, cleaned up his mess and was on his way.

Although I wasn't impressed with the answering service, I was more than happy with the service they provided me, which is what really matters.

I highly recommend Mr Sparky and will tell all of my friends and family to call them as well if they need any electrician services.

Hands down one of the most professional trades services I have ever had period! I called early morning with an issue and they said they would be there by 10AM. They arrived before that and Joe Mister Sparky immediately showed my why I had lights flickering. I had ignored routine maintenance on my panel, and unbeknownst to me, water had trickled into the panel and rusted a couple breakers and the tie line. Unfortunately I needed a new box. Joe was clear with prices, showed me multiple options and I was able to choose the right panel for the job. What an amazing service. I was up and running by the end of the same day. Friendly, clean, courteous and kept me informed of costs all along the way. Wouldn't hesitate a second to recommend Mister Sparky to anyone I can!

The Electrician was professional, came on time and did his job right, but the price he charged was way too much for the work that was done.  First they charged me $59 just to visit, then he said it would cost me $179 just to diagnose where the problem exists, and then he charged me another $179 for fixing the problem. The problem was an electrical short, so all the electrician did was run another wire from one receptacle to another.
