The service is so great here! The waiters are always quick to top off your drink & check in often. The food is pretty good, however, nothing that totally “wows” me.Food: 4/5

Grade 95: Mistral should mean dependable in French, This restaurant has been excellent since we first started going here more than 10 years ago. The John Dory came as a huge portion and it was prepared so well that I enjoyed they morsel. While I don't like Escargot, this one I ate 2 pieces because it looked so good and the taste didn't disappoint. Desserts, While the Bread Pudding was downright the winner, the Creme Brullee was a close second. We also had the Steak Frites, Med-Rare, amazing. No wonder we keep coming back.

Since my wife and I we are foodies my wife took me there last week for my birthday because they have a Michelin mention. While the food was good, the hostess and the food runners were polite and educated, the Latino older waiter was rude, had an attitude because I asked him about some dishes, he even had the nerve to sigh, unbelievable. His  service ruined the experience, it didn't feel I was in fine dining but in a cheap Mexican restaurant with ordinary and rude service.  Since the portions are big, I didn't want any big dessert, but my wife had called saying was my birthday and the hostess even asked me, at the end they didn't even send a happy birthday cookie or something.  I rather go back to one of our favorite places like Bouchon in Santa Bárbara.

Our favorite French restaurant! The managers and staff are top notch and know how to serve at a perfect pace and style. They skillfully flow around the restaurant ensuring every guest is taken care of- which makes it a fantastic experience overall. You can’t go wrong with their snails, French onion soup and fish!

Tonight was my first time dining in but it won’t be my last. I’m a big French Bistro fan and have been to most in town and would consider this one of the better ones. In the valley my favorite two are here and Petit Trois a few blocks away. The inside is well done and cozy, but not too crowded. Service was a bit slow tonight, but the meal was still very good overall.  We started off with the Steak Tartare and it was great. A healthy sized portion with tons of flavor, and the toasted bread with it was very nice. Next we ordered the Tomato, Cucumber, & Sweet Onions and we really loved this dish. The tomatoes are always great in California and the lemon dressing was the perfect choice. For my entree I chose the John Dory, which was panko crusted and not a usual choice for me, but I did like it on this dish. It was another healthy sized portion, of fish this time, so overall I enjoyed how shareable and large each dish was.  We had an event after dinner so we passed on the chocolate soufflé but I plan to order that next time. Overall it was a really delicious meal and I plan to return in the near future.

We celebrated my son's birthday tonight at Mistral and it was delightful! The food was great and the service was outstanding. The staff was attentive and made thoughtful efforts to help us celebrate. This was our first visit to Mistral, but certainly not our last. Tres bien!Food: 5/5

Excellent service, the owner is almost always there and  he is very friendly with the visitors.  Very good French food, great selection of meat, fish, appetisers.  Beautiful classic interior.  I Recommend.

Took my wife's father there for his birthday. We sat in the patio section which was great because I was able to easily take our baby for a stroll when he got fussy. Food was pretty good. Pricier that other French restaurants that we frequent because Mistral gives slightly more food. For example, I ordered angel hair pasta and fries for my 3-year old, and they brought servings good for the whole table. I ordered duck confit, which at other places would be one piece of leg. However, they have 2 nice sized portions. We bought of bottle of their wine because bringing our own would have been a $40 corkage fee. We brought a small birthday cake and they do charge a $4 cutting fee per slice. Good service although my wife pointed out to me that there were no females on staff at all anywhere inside the restaurant on this pretty busy night. I don't know if that was just for that night or what. Good experience overall and would make another visit if I'm ever craving French food in the Valley.

My girlfriend and I meet here every 6 months for our birthdays because we feel so pampered having this long languorous lovely lunch together where we meet and chat and enjoy the wonderful service and food and ambience!!Food: 5/5

I was in the neighborhood and I found this outstanding place by Google search and I was amazed. The food was excellent and the service was great. I will definitely come back to this restaurant They have a lot of choices for appetizers their French onion soup is fantastic and the shrimp sautéed is perfect
