I almost hesitate to say how great this dental office is as I want to make sure I can always get an appointment! Beautiful office, great support staff behind the counter. Fran, my hygienist, is such a competent, wonderful person that I look forward to my check-ups. (How many people can say that about going to the dentist?) Dr. Abramson is very quick and skillful and any procedures I’ve had have been painless and worry-free. I appreciate his maintenance of a high tech office in an effort to provide the best experience possible for his patients.

The wife and I I just had our second 6 month check-up at Modern Dentistry. The element or factor which is critical to any review/experience is consistency. Being positive then consistency is important, especially when we are talking about dental service/s and maintenance of oral health, pain free or minimization. So far, so very good. As their name implies, they are modern. Modern digital x-ray and exam rooms. The entire team seems to work well together to ensure the patients costs are minimized if insurance is utilized. From the front desk staff to the insurance specialists to the RDA's/ hygienists, and the dentist, they are pleasant and engaging. Well done. As close to 5 🌟 as I can remember when comparing past dental care.

Do not trust this practice! I booked an appointment several months ago - the earliest that they had for a new patient was several months away at that time. They told me that they were in-network for my insurance - They simply said "yes, we are" - No caveats. Tonight, about a week before my appointment, I got an email stating, basically, that they had not gotten the raises that they wanted from my insurance company (which I'm told is one of the largest and most generous in DC) and would no longer be in-network! The communication cast a binary decision - they would either cut care or costs - Apparently cutting their profit margins (or just not increasing them) was not an option?! Strongly recommend finding another dental practice!

I had two chipped teeth, and I scheduled an appointment to fix both. When I got there, they told me they only had time to fix one and scheduled an appointment for me two days later. They said they wanted to look into whether I needed a root canal at that appointment too on the tooth they had already filled. They proceeded to cancel 30 minutes before my second appointment "because of an emergency appointment". They then made two different excuses for why they couldn't fill the other tooth "this soon anyways" mostly because they were concerned about the initial tooth. I'm no dentist, but that seems like a weird excuse considering they already filled and operated the tooth they were concerned about needing a root canal. Very unprofessional and I'm disappointed with the appearance of the filling.

Hands down one of the most thorough and complete dental exams I've ever received. Cleaning was thorough as well. Oral hygienist was extremely knowledgable and provided great advice and feedback. Dentist was great as well. Overall, the staff was very friendly and the practice was accommodating. Highly recommend this practice.
