I normally don't do this, but I'm pretty pissed! If you are looking for a landscaper, I would highly advise AGAINSTJason at Mohawk Valley Landscaping!!!! I contacted several landscapers for quotes in March. Jason said he would contact me in a few days with a quote, a week passed and I hadn't heard anything so I called him back. He said he didn't have a price on sod yet and would call me in a few days. Another week went by and nothing, so I called back again . He ended up having the best price and seemed like he knew what he was doing. We have a big swingset in the yard. He said they would move it, no problem and then come back in a few weeks to move the swing back.He said a few times that he would never screw us because he lives around the corner from us and we would see eachother at sporting events and such (kind of strange that he would come out and make a point to say he would not screw us, but I didn't think anything of it at the time) We are having my daughters birthday party at our house and wanted sod laid down before the party. Jason assured us 100% the job would be done well before her party and that it would be perfect. He said we would be very happy. He left and said that he would call me in and few days to let me know when he could come do the job. He never called....I called him a week later...he said he was busy and would call me in a few days...another week went by...I called him again. He said he would come on Monday or Tuesday to re-measure our yard and would come the following Monday to do the job. I asked him if he was sure he was going to come since he didn't return phone calls. He assured me 100% he would be here and the job would only take 2 days. He never came to measure last week and never called or showed up on Monday!!! I even called Sunday to make sure he was coming and he didn't answer my call! I know I gave him a lot of chances after so many times of not hearing back, but he assured me each time he was coming and had the best price by quite a bit. Looking back...there was probably a reason why his price was so low, but we wanted this sod laid down in time for my daughters birthday party and now it's too late to get someone else! Another thing is 3 other landscapers wanted to test our ph levels, when I asked Jason if he was going to test them, his response was "What for?! I don't know what Im testing for, I didn't go to school for that!" I am beyond pissed and if that's how he does business then I don't want to see anyone else get screwed!! Feel free to share this! Word of mouth is a powerful thing. 
After sharing this post on social media, I had 2 people tell me that he did the exact same thing to them!!!! I called him the next day and he didn't answer. If this is how he does business, then it is his loss- he is the one not getting paid and his name and reputation are at stake, tho he doesn't seem to care. I would never recommend this person to anyone!
