Food and service is fantastic!!! You get your food yourself and it's fast and warm!! Loved the homie feel to it and how nice everyone is. Will definitely be going back

Our favorite breakfast & lunch spot in the area! Service is top notch, all the waitresses are fast & friendly and the prices are very reasonable! Miss Ronda & Tambra are our favorites! If you ever have the chance to visit for breakfast, make sure to try the biscuits with sausage gravy! For lunch, the moms burger or the cafeteria style line is delicious! The spinach casserole and butter beans are the best! No complaints here! Just wish they were open on weekends & the uniform shirts dont really go with the old fashioned feel of the restaurant =)

The food here was AMAZING! Waitresses were super friendly! I will definitely be back if we come back to Houston!

Price was okay for lunch but the food was not good at all. This was the first time I've been here and I got the chicken fried steak with cream gravy, mashed potatoes and steamed cabbage. The cabbage was great however the chicken fried steak did not taste fresh. It was hard and tasted like cardboard. The potatoes tasted like box potatoes. I don't see myself going here for lunch again.

Homestyle Cooking steam table catering to the working class of people breakfast and lunch closes sharply at 3 all food is very good service is super friendly and very dependable located on Aldine Westfield a half a mile south of Aldine Bender left hand side great place to eat price is very reasonable. Love this place.
