Well I came in on a Friday morning and scheduled a simple repair for my tie rod which I know doesn't take more then an hour to do. Was told by Rick that the appt. would be about an hour. Great! Rick took my info but not my phone number. Didn't say anything cuz well that's his job. And he also didn't seem to care about the year of my car. (Unless they have the part in stock they usually need the year so you can order that part). He said no biggy we'll figure that out on Sunday (the day of my appt). So I show up for my appt on Sunday and Rick was there behind the counter on the phone. Wasn't acknowledge for several minutes. A tech also came out from the garage, looked at me and ignored me also. So finally Rick asks how he can help me. Tell him I'm here for my app. He asks if I'm coming back. Pardon me? No I was not planning on it since you told me it would take about an hour. Well we're pretty backed up today and it's going to be a couple hours. Plus we don't have the part. We need to order it and pick it up. Your kidding me right? You've had two full days to order and pick up the part. Why are you doing it now when I'm here for my appt?! Rick just stares at me. I don't have time to wait a couple hours. So then he asks if I want to reschedule. Ya that's not going to be happening. Then I said a few more words not worth repeating and walked out. Now I'm a pretty reasonable person. If I were to have gotten a phone call Sunday morning anytime before my appt to tell me they were backed up and it was going to take a couple hours I would of been fine with dropping it off. I understand these things happen. But I didn't. Because Rick never took my phone number Friday so that wasn't even an option. (He did ask for it when u showed up for my appt that Sunday though) But then again maybe they don't call customers to tell them that. I don't know. He also failed to order the part or pass the info on to whom ever orders parts. (You would think ordering it before an appt so you have it makes sense I don't know) This was just overall incompetence. He wasn't apologetic at all and lacked in customer service skills completely. From what I could see the place wasn't busy. I was the only customer there. There was only one car up on the lift in the garage no others and the tech was standing around looking miserable. So who knows. I did get a voice mail from the manager Dennis on Monday morning apologing for what happened. He said they were really busy and backed up..... He also offered $50 off the bill if i came back. I really do appreciate the phone call and the apology. That means the manager checks up on stuff. And the $50 offer is good customer service. I wish Dennis were there Sunday. Things may have been different. But unfortunately I took my business elsewhere Sunday after I left and found a place with excellent customer service. They did it right then and there and I waited not even an hour and the best part was i payed $150 LESS then what Rick quoted me!! So although I had a bad experience at Monroe I'm really glad the manager called and apologized. I did not think I'd hear from anyone there about this. But I won't go back there. Customer service is not an easy industry. I used to work in it. I hope if anything they can use this event as a learning experience and try to be better at communication with customers. I'm sure Dennis, Rick and the technician are great people. Maybe they were having a bad day or something happened that led to this bad experience. Anyway I got my car fixed and I ain't mad no more at Monro. I still won't go back there but I said my peace and now I'm out. ✌

This place is absolutely fantastic the service was second to none. They were quick, informative and found me every rebate possible. I will be recommending the to everyone.

Good place for a cheap oil change but nothing more. Monroe always has coupons online, so you can get your oil changed for around 16 bucks. I went there for my inspection recently and failed because of my brakes. No problem. I knew they were getting bad. The guy quoted me $600 for pads and rotors all around saying it was required to pass. Thats fine... Typical price for that at a place like this. I said "no thank you" and took the car to my trusted family mechanic. Yes I needed brakes and rotors on the rear axle. However the front ones were completely fine with pads at over 60% remaining life. If you have no knowledge of cars please take your car to someone you trust and do not let these kinds of places screw you over.
