My husband surprised me with a trip here for Valentine's Day Weekend two years ago, and having never done the Bed and Breakfast thing I was a bit concerned. However, Doug and Nancy made the whole weekend wonderful and went above and beyond the call of duty. The place is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The rooms were gorgeous! There was a massive blizzard the weekend we were here and Nancy still managed to find a massage therapist for us. We will be back, this is a great place to stay and relax.

This bed and breakfast is further away from the water, but unfortunately, it's still close to the freeway. The rooms are small, but well-furnished and thought out to make your stay, whether short or long, comfortable and enjoyable (although the internet access wasn't spectacular). The breakfast served was very yummy. This is a good location to stop between Chicago & parts of Michigan. Go into town (South Haven) for delicious food and a walk along the water.

We spent two nights at this lovely place. Friendly service, and delicious gourmet-quality breakfast each morning! The place is just outside of town, a little off the beaten path, which was perfect for us. We stayed in the Monroe Room which has an enormous bathroom with a three-headed shower and extra wall mounted nozzles that the water can be directed to instead. The shower is sufficiently roomy to allow a romantic couple to shower together! There is also a large, well-kept hot-tub outside that can be used any time day or night that we would have surely visited if we had stayed a little longer. One word to the wise, the bed we slept in was extra soft and equiped with rather plump pillows, which my partner found very cozy, but left me with a stiff neck as I like to roll over. So if you sleep like me, you might want to consider brining a board to put under the mattress along with a thinner, orthopedic pillow to keep your neck and spine straighter while you sleep. That quibble aside, the place is absolutely lovely and you will love it!
