Chef Cheyne is baking new breath into the air at Monrovia Bakery! His talents as a pastry chef with a lean towards those fabulous French techniques and tastes is not to be missed. The front of the shop retains it's original atmosphere of 'welcome neighbor' but without any intent to slight the previous owners, I think Chef Cheyne's bakery goods are a real step above what was previously available for sweet tooth satisfaction. A highlight of Saturday mornings is for my husband and me to take a walk downtown to Monrovia Bakery to buy a fresh scone or strudel.  I also love the thought that we can watch little Luna grow. Stop by the bakery and you'll discover who she is-a real cutie but the offerings in the display cases and the racks behind the counter will certainly keep you coming back.
