Great variety of trails with a separate expert chair with several runs and a very steep double black trail. Not crowded so lots of runs and the trails are not overcrowded.Good snow making.  Lots of runs but they may not have every chair and every run open everyday but this is true of  the countless  mountains I have skied. Weather, conditions and number of skiers effect all resorts.  Good prices. Good restaurant  & lodge. Like the outdoor fire pits. Friendly staff.  Nice, reasonably priced  accommodations nearby. Worth the 3 hour drive for a day. weekend or longer. Best in PA, MD, etc.

Is it a nice mountain but i dont know if i would go back. Only one lift covers the whole mountain's vertical and the day i was there it was closed in addition to 6 trails all on the north face and i still had to pay full price. If you are not a beginner, a situation like this limits you to about 7 trails to ski since the bunny hills/easy runs make up a decent amount of the total trails. Additionally, you need to take back to back lifts to go from the base to peak just to access all 7 runs. So basically, call in advanced to make sure all the trails and lifts are open and if not avoid this place like the plague.

If you don't mind spending the majority of your day on slow lifts,  then this is the place for you.   They also cut the majority of their vertical in half since all of the lifts(except 1) only cover 1/2 of the full vertical.  That means  it's either top half or bottom half, which makes the runs way too short for the excruciatingly long ride up.  Couple that with "no outside food or drink" in lodge, and lugging your gear down tons of stairs from the lot,  and there's really no reason to come here.   Drive the extra 30 min and go to Elk Mt.   For the same amount of time on the lift, you'll get up the whole vertical,  and they have far better, and much longer,  trails.

I had a great time last night. Hit all the blacks and double blacks. nice varied train. Short lift lines. I will be back when I'm in the area again.

An outrageously great place. Wonderful place to take your family the food is great and what's better is the price of the ticket. I don't think there is another ski resort anywhere in the state of Pennsylvania that can beat their prices.
