I travel a lot. I live in Troy Alabama and MGM is my final destination and origin. It's nice to arrive at a smaller slower airport. I don't feel rushed. It's clean, small and easy going. There was a Subway but it has shut down and I hope that MGM gets someone to move in there. That was usually where I ate before I caught my longer flights out of Atlanta and overseas. Parking is fantastic. Delta did loose my bag one time in 15 years I have been traveling through MGM. I got it the next day. Thanks MGM.

It's wonderful that this airport is close by, attractive, and clean...HOWEVER, in comparison to the airports of Birmingham, Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, Dulles, etc...the drop off/pick up is a JOKE! The pathetic, bored, overbearing 'security' allows all of 1 minute before they're on you like Osama bin Laden's red-headed 1st cousin!! Lol
I was THE ONLY person in the pick up...THE ONLY CAR...and the EXTREMELY RUDE 'officer' asked 'what was I doing'..? (Mind you, I'd been there all of one minute!). Uhmmm....what did he think I was doing? Duh!
Anyway, I pointed out that I was in no way hindering anyone else from picking up or dropping off an airline customer. He proceeded this ridiculous tirade about 911. GEE...I guess the MUCH LARGER AND BUSIER airports aren't as concerned with national security!?? Puhhleeze... As though circling around again for no reason would be a safety issue? No...this is simply a matter of TERRIBLE customer service. Flying is a business...a SERVICE...thus, CUSTOMER SERVICE. Therefore, "security" HAS TO BE balanced with treating patrons with RESPECT and COURTESY. I would rather drive an hour and a half to Bham...better service, better parking, better prices. Extremely disappointed Montgomery.

There are no services here for guests with no tickets. It would be nice to find a nice gift shop or cafe to enjoy while waiting for a flight.   The clock in the waiting area by the rental cars was a full hour fast... attention to detail here is lacking. I would think time is important at an airport.  In my opinion, a capital city should take more pride in it's gateways.  Some local art would be a good addition to the atmosphere.
