This place is an absolute gem in Houston, a stand out even among the many very good Vietnamese restaurants we are so lucky to have. The prices are crazy good for the quality, the service was super friendly and prompt, and the food itself? It was soooo good. Like, really darn good. Everything we had was delicious and we were even treated to some new flavors from an herb we’d never seen or heard of that was part of the beef carpaccio dish. The small egg rolls were stuffed with delicious insides and fried perfectly. The banh mi was as authentic as any I’ve had, and the shaking beef salad was great though not quite as good as the other dishes. We also treated ourselves to some very inexpensive hand crafted mocktails that were more delicious than they should have been. We sure appreciated that nice surprise and it’s a factor in us wanting to return ASAP. Finally, our server was warm and friendly and very knowledgeable about the dishes’ ingredients. We can’t wait for our next visit. You can’t go wrong here!
The food, atmosphere, and service was exceptional! I was visiting from Wichita, Kansas and was brought here by a local friend. The atmosphere was very clean and plenty of seating. The food was very good and came out in a timely manner, we didn’t have to wait long for our food to arrive. Our wait staff was very attentive and checked on us regularly. Their wine selection was very pleasant with quality wines! Give this establishment a try and you will not be disappointed :
I’ve eaten here a few times and this place is a great Asian restaurant. All the times I have been here and had the same lady serve me. I apologize for not remembering her name, but she is really nice and attentive. I forgot to take pictures the other times I ate here. I was too busy wolfing down the food! I managed to take some this visit. This time I ordered the beef vermicelli. It had excellent flavor. Even better once I poured the sauce on it! They serve it with house made chili oil. It is not hot, but lacking some flavor. To drink I got a fresh lemonade. Now, this place is not cheap. I cannot come here a lot, but it is definitely with the price. The Shaking beef is my favorite so far.
Enjoyed lunch here with friends. Everything we ordered had great flavors. The quality of the food is very good and the menu is excellent. The sauces are homemade. The vegetarian fish sauce, made from pineapple is excellent. Service was really good.Food: 5/5
Exceptional Vietnamese food. Environment was cozy, food was good. Service was OK. Got some soup spilled on me, but they made it up to us by taking the soup off the bill. Although the service was off, place was really nice. They forgot my Thai tea though.Food: 5/5

The name intrigued me so I asked where it came from and no one knew. Surprisingly to me that no one that works there would be curious enough to ask. Nothing new here except that it was done well. 1. Garlic soy wings is classic and tasted as expected. 2 egg rolls were decent. 3. Veggie egg rolls is what I’ll order every time I come here. It was so good I thought they were lying about the veggies. 4. I had the clay pot fish. I couldn’t taste the miso but it was reminiscent of a Thai dish in terms of the flavors. I enjoyed it. 5. I stole 2 sips of the pho broth and what I tasted may have changed my mind of where the best pho is. The flavors felt deep and well rounded and consistency of the soup was more bone broth like than soupy. I’ll be ordering this next time to see if I was mistaken. Overall I enjoyed it and would return again to sample new things.
Great gem on 19th! Friendly and attentive staff. Can’t wait to check out their brunch.Food: 5/5
Moon Rabbit in Houston offers an exceptional dining experience with its outstanding food, notably the to-die-for carpaccio appetizer. The service was equally impressive, with Amber, our server/bartender, providing personable, attentive service and excellent recommendations. Combining delicious food, great drinks, and superb service, Moon Rabbit is a must-visit gem in Houston
The boy and I stopped in on a super rainy Houston afternoon after hearing it was good. It's a somewhat trendy Vietnamese place with a full bar and some tasty cocktails. He got the "Back Up, Terry" and I got the "Elixir of Immortality", both of which were great. The elixir would be a great drink on a hot summer day for sure. He went with the brisket/tenderloin pho since it paired with our rainy afternoon. I decided to try the Shrimp Goi salad. The pho was really flavorful and the meat delicious. I would eat the salad multiple times a month if I could. The shrimp was grilled nicely, the veggies were fresh and crunchy, and the salad dressing was fishy/limey/salty in all the right ways. Our server was helpful with suggestions and very attentive. I would absolutely come back if I find myself in the area again.
