Some of the dishes are very good. I can say they are like what I could have in Thailand. The examples are Tiger Tear เสือร้องไห้ and Nam Sod แหนมสด.  Some of the dishes are a bit off such as Pad Ke Mow ผัดขี้เมา - it is too sweet for the nature of the dish and Chicken Peanut Sauce ไก่สะเต๊ะ - it is too sweet for what I have ever tried.  I have not tried the Japanese dishes for this visit. But they look good. I will probably try for next time.  The parking is a bit tricky as you have to enter from the back of the building. It is a garage style parking with Free parking for the first few hours.

I stopped in Moon Thai this evening, to an be delighted with an incredible experience. The host was upbeat and welcoming from the moment I entered. I decided to sit at the sushi bar. I was offered a sample of the Tuna from the fabulous sushi chef. The service was just as  phenomenal as the food. Take a look at the photos to see what I had. Looking forward to my next visit soon.

Delicious and healthy, unique food at reasonable prices!  Ambience of restaurant is very impressive and inviting,  with incredible customer service. Elijah was our server and he was very attentive and friendly. Best sushi!!Food: 5/5

We are visiting from out of state and have been trying to find the best sushi in town. We’ve stayed 6-nights and have had sushi at 6-different restaurants. This place was by far the best in town! Favorite roll was the Sloppy J with 4-types of raw fish. All the rolls were texturally very pleasing and the flavor combos were legit. Service was a tad bit slow despite not being very busy, but there is plenty to look at in this beautiful restaurant. We will definitely try to go back one last time before we fly out!

We rarely get a moment for just us, the wife and I, so while kidless for an evening I wanted to surprise the wifey to a quiet dinner with good food and Moon Thai & Japanese did not disappoint.  The food and service were both above and beyond - food tasted fresh and the spices were on point.  Every tastebud worked overtime during the entire experience.  The menu has some comedy in the language and I appreciate that extra attention to detail

If you're looking for a high-quality, authentic Asian, culinary experience while dining, especially Thai, Moon Thai is it.  A lot of restaurants don't wow me in Charlotte, but this place is the gold standard.  From the greeting upon entry through the dining experience, I thoroughly enjoyed myself.  My dining experience started with the usual seaweed salad, water, and a glass of plum wine.  Plum wine is a must for me if I have Asian food, but a lot of restaurants in Charlotte do not have it.  My main dish was Curry Duck: It was magnificent. Roasted to perfection with crispy skin, then bathed in house made red curry with pineapples and tomatoes.  I chose level 1 spice but could have easily gone to 2 for a tiny kick or 3 with a little more punch.  It was paired with jasmine rice. The portions are a little larger than normal, so there is enough to either share or take leftovers. I also ordered th3 Basik Sauce with veggies to go.  Throughout my experience, my server and the managers engaged with conversation.  They were thoughtful, attentive, and professional.  Inside the restaurant, the decor is modern with a touch of Asian inspiration. There is outdoor dining on the patio.  Located in the heart of South Park, Moon Thai is easily accessible being central to many hotels and other attractions.  Parking is easy, but locating the restaurant is a bit tricky if you have never been.  Simply exit the parking garage at level one near the steakhouse.  Make a right passing the steakhouse and bakery following the sidewalk around until you see Snooze and Tiff's Treats.  Make a right past Tiff's, and you'll see the outdoor patio for Moon Thai.  The entrance to the restaurant is directly adjacent.  Vegetarian options: Vegetarian dishes are offered and accommodation can be made to not have meat of any kind  Dietary restrictions: Accommodation can be made  Parking: There are limited street parking spaces, however the restaurant is attached to a parking garage. Picked this place randomly for my birthday dinner since it was close to our hotel and boy was I satisfied. Y’all this place is soooo delicious, It’s been days and I am stoll thinking about my Chicken Pad Thai that I ordered and that Mango sticky rice!!! I have never had Thai food before but I’m glad this was my first experience because now I want to eat it everyday. I bummed it’s in Charlotte which is 2 & a half hours from me but I WILL be back. I also had their smoky pineapple margarita….10/10. Delicious. Our waitress Faith was oh soooo sweet, she made our experience so fun and welcoming. She was so knowledgeable about the history of the restaurant & let us know how authentic the food was. She even offered to take our pictures which was so nice of her. Faith & the bar manager also gave us nightlife suggestions for the evening which did not disappoint. I loved it there.!

We had a great dinner!  Our waitress Arielle was super sweet and helpful,  and made great recommendations. The lobster roll was awesome!!!  They offered free dessert for father's day so nice! So we got the tempora banana. AMAZING!!  Highly recommendFood: 5/5

I've heard RAVE reviews from other fellow elite yelpers about Moon Thai after they attended a Yelp event here about a year ago and decided to have my birthday dinner here. Made a reservation about a month in advance for 10 people. Arrived about 10 minutes earlier, and we were sat immediately. Now, unfortunately, the service in the beginning was the worst. As soon as we were sat, it's like we were forgotten. I know usually they do like to wait until the whole party arrives but we at least wanted water, a cocktail and an app while waiting for the rest of our party to arrive & it was fairly empty which was very surprising to us for a Saturday.  After about 20 minutes of waiting, my husband got up to try to ask for some service. Another 15-minute passes, and we are still waiting when finally our server Ari came over and at least took our order. She did apologize for the wait and was super pleasant, friendly, and efficient for the rest of the night. The food was DELICIOUS! we ordered everything from sushi, thai hurricane fresh snapper, duck curry, lamb chops, pad thai, and I must say, every dish we sampled was phenomenal, and we had nothing bad to say. All the flavors and spices used for every dish were *Chefs kiss* the sushi tasted FRESH! The most popular dish amongst us was the fresh Snapper which consisted of 2 huge fried fish, just the right amount of crip and tenderness. They did bring out a birthday dessert for me, which I was able to choose from, and they played a happy birthday song through the restaurant speakers and sand to me, which definitely made me feel welcomed and special! Even though it was a rough start, they truly made up for it and will definitely come back to try other dishes. This is located beside steak 48. You can either valet or park in the parking lot, and there are signs directions you to Moon Thai!

Went for lunch and really enjoyed it. Our waitress was Faith and she was very patient as it was our first time there. She was knowledgeable of the menu and helpful with my seafood allergies. Will definitely return. The Lady in Pink snapper was amazing! Highly recommend it.Food: 4/5
