I ordered late night delivery from this place. I ordered the sizzling beef plate. The food was fresh and hot when it arrived which was nice but the biggest problem was that in the picture of the food there was a bowl of white rice next to it and no rice came with the entree. For $22 you would think you should get some rice. So it was disappointing to have to just eat the meat and veggies alone.
the service here was terrible. I was stuck in south station after missing a train and couldn't leave until morning, so I decided to get something to eat and stay warm at one of the few places in boston open in the middle of the night. When I was seated at a table I noticed the table was quite sticky. Their menu is quite expensive and there are no affordable options other than white rice and a few fountain drinks. I ordered just white rice and tea which added up to $7.50. The tea was just a regular black tea but it tasted very burnt like it was over brewed. The person who served me kept switching between hovering over me and watching me from across the restaurant. the server was much friendlier towards the only other pair of people seated in the restaurant than they were to me. after being seated for only about 10 minutes, they brought out the check and demanded that I pay a $2 tip, none of which was mentioned anywhere in the menu they brought out or in their website. the server would not leave my table until I gave them that tip, which was not at all deserved. they treated me with hostility, like I was a squatter instead of treating me with respect.
JUST LEFT !!! Food was cooked fresh to order, spare ribs, Fried dumpling, scallion pancakes, "shredded chicken" which was sliced, and beef Lomain, 2 waters we expected glasses of water [free]@ most places, we received bottled, which we didnt ask for $4.00 our bill came to 61.50 plus 17.00. For what??? They add money where they can, adding waters we didn't order, plus tipping themselves. . . Like what?? No, you rushed us out. For was good, like perfect drunk food. But WATCH YOUR CHECK!! THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR ANYTHING THEY CAN AND ANYTHING THEY WANT. We relied when the table behind us complained saying, don't charge us for waters we didn't order, and we didn't ask for chopsticks! They charge you?!?! This place is wild, and I don't even think they can legally just charge people gratuity without notice. Also the online menu is 4 dollars cheaper than the after hours. Just don't go.
Everything was so weird. Burnt spring roll, burnt ribs, burnt teriyaki, 3 chicken fingers that was nasty, and almost forgot 1 stiff chicken wing, no shrimp, no egg rolls, no crab ragoon and this was a pupu platter for 1 but they charge $32 dollars which is the price of a 2 person platter with tax....also ordered shrimp fried rice that cost $15 and this place sent me plain white rice with eggs and 5 tiny shrimps. I got my refund faster than the uber eats driver got to the end of my street and there's less than 40 units and a one way ! Also arrived almost 2 hours after purchase.
DO NOT ORDER FOOD HERE!!!!! WORST PLACE EVER I have been here to eat food and the service is terrible but at least they give you the food you pay for. Several times I have ordered from ubereats and they don't make my food. The driver shows up there's no food and they leave them a new driver comes. Then when you call they act like they don't know what's going on and you get charged for the food. Today I went in to pickup food myself because I thought it would avoid that issue. I show up at 2:55 ten minutes after I order. It's 30 minutes then 45 minutes that go by and the workers say it's not ready and ignore me. Then 3:47 I get a notification that they told Uber i picked up my food. They told me someone took my food. I asked them to remake it several times and they refused and kept being like no it's because someone took your food. This place is clearly running a scam through ubereats where they purposely don't make your food then let you get charged for it. The fact that after they said "someone took my order" they refused to remake my order. The employees here are scumbags and it's disgusting that they haven't been caught for doing this. I wasn't sure if it was an issue of the drivers or just being late that my food never delivered but after doing a pickup order I realized these people are scumbags and purposely do not make your order and lie and say someone took it then refuse to remake your food.
Ordered two items, a Singapore rice noodles and a salt and pepper calamari, only the former was delivered. The delivery took about 40 minutes. It’s already very disappointing when we saw that calamari is missing after waiting for such a long time. What’s even more disappointing is we couldn’t even get a refund since the store is not eligible for it. Tried to call the restaurant but it’s already closed. Spent a total of 46.91 dollars and we only had a rice noodle. It’s not acceptable that we have to pay for the restaurant’s mistake. The taste is good indeed but I can’t say that I’m satisfied with the experience overall.
Unassuming place with a guy who barely speaks any English and makes you wonder, "Did he get my order right??" The place is a gem, one of the few places that's still open and taking orders at 11:45 PM on a Tuesday night after playing darts, a Mecca for drunk folks, an oasis for hungry hungry hippos. Couple of people eating in, and few others came in for take out like I did. I ordered beef brisket flat noodles. Nearly two pounds of beef parts tendons & all, bok choy, and flat noodles. It was so heavy, I was leaning one way as I walked out of the restaurant. I'm afraid I'm going to eat the whole thing when I get home. Night night Boston!
The service is sucks, very slow , the food is small and not fresh. The waiter is trying to change the price , making sure you are checking on the price . RedicousFood: 1/5
Ordered sesame chicken and shrimp fried rice. I understand these are Chinese dishes catered to American tastes, but the food delivered to me was truly shameful. The chicken was gelatinous and not fully cooked. The shrimp fried rice was basically steamed white rice and steamed pieces of shrimp and maybe a fraction of an egg and 5 or 6 bean sprouts. No flavor, no soy sauce, no effort. Charging $13 to $16 for either of these dishes is a joke, a sham, and truly outrageous. I really can't believe this restaurant is still in business. STAY AWAY
I've order a basic Wonton Noodle soup and it was horrible and expensive, $25 for 2 wonton noodle soup... It wasn't authentic, the wonton were just the wrapper, no fillings... Soup had no flavor, it was just hot water... Definitely not what it use to be when I use to go there as a kid.... Totally not recommended...
