When there to have a nice dinner, and I was generally satisfied. The food is not bad, as they offer immense amount of options. Desserts were fabulous. They serve Chinese food is French style, which is a new experience for me. The environment is pretty nice, except for the music, which have no pattern and is probably all from playlists called “chill music for restaurant” or so. Parking: Free parking lot right beside. Not busy at all.
An all around wonderful dining experience. Went for an early lunch on a Saturday. Sizable parking lot. The restaurant is easy to find. There was no wait for a table but there were a few people picking up takeout, which is always a good reflection on the food. The decor is beautiful. The waitstaff was attentive. The food arrived hot, fresh and delicious. They offer the most extensive gluten free menu that I have ever seen at an Asian restaurant. The non-alcoholic drink menu is a treat and a major plus to top off the meal experience if minors are dining with you --- the flavor combinations are yummy! A nice restaurant for a couple or for a family meal. It's highly likely that I will return. Kid-friendliness: Great spot for children who are willing to sit and enjoy a meal. Not so great for little ones who want to run around and explore.
It was a great experience. Pros: Food quality was good, service was good, decoration was nice. Its a modern twist Asian restaurant. The desert pudding was outstanding. Cons: fried ice cream was pre-made. I was expecting a warm crispy crust with cold ice cream inside. I was a little disappointed. Another reason for a star off is too many choices on the menu, its like reading a book. It takes very long time just to finish reading the menu. Suggest to keep the menu shorter and delete some unpopular dishes.
Very nice place!!! Food was very good and the waiter was top notch. The duck was outstanding as were the other entrees which included coconut shrimp, general Tso chicken, spicy beef, soup dumplings. Had a great dinner with the guys here and will definitely be back with the wife and kids.Food: 5/5
Food was delicious. Service was superb. We tried the 50$ brunch menu and it was a lot of food and more than enough for one person! A family of 4 probably just need to order 2 brunches!
The food here used to be outstanding, now it still better than average but the new management's penny pinching has affected the food. For example, the Fish Kew used to have a lot of leeks in it, now I could barely find any. The egg drop soup used to have small mushrooms which added a subtle flavor to the soup, now they just used the standard, cheaper, sliced button mushrooms. The lettuce wrap came with just 4 modest sized pieces of lettuce, when we asked for more lettuce, they brought out just one more small piece of lettuce and tried to charge us $1.50 extra. We made a reservation on Open Table and checked in when we arrived at the restaurant, but the restaurant reported that we did not show up. Apparently, they didn't want to pay Open Table for handling the reservation. I can understand penny pinching if you are charging $15 for a main dish. But if you are charging $35 per dish, you need to be more generous, maintain high quality standards and make your customer feel welcome. I've always found the service here to be cold and indifferent. Again, this might be less annoying in a low-priced, local restaurant. But if you go out of your way to travel to a more expensive, elegant looking restaurant, you expect to be greeted warmly and made to feel appreciated. Despite the above failings, I will come back here again because the food is still very good and they have gluten free options. However, I feel sad that I have to lower my rating from 5 stars to 4 stars.
I was wary of dining here due to the prices $14 for edamame?!, but my husband wanted to try the cocktails. As a chinese American who’s used to low key restaurants with great food but mediocre service you go for the food lol, Moonstone was surprisingly good! Good portion sizes for families, beautiful and clean decor, and of course great service. Bathrooms were sparkling clean too. Our toddler scarfed down her food and puked and the waiter was quick to help us clean it up without us asking we felt so bad!. They come around and refill your tea and water for you. We ordered five dishes for the 5 of us. I enjoyed the sizzling paradox beef was super tender, chicken chow mein lots of juicy chicken, mushrooms and noodles!, string beans, and the three cup chicken. We’ll go back next time for more cocktails husband enjoyed his!. I want to try the sushi! Definitely worth checking out for a special occasion with a group, especially if people want good chinese food, modern decor, and welcoming service. We went on a Saturday night at 6pm, when there were only two tables seated. But by the time we left around 7:30pm there were only a few empty tables left. Parking lot is convenient too.
The relaxing and charming ambiance makes it a perfect spot for family dinners or date nights. Service was great and the food was even better. Would recommend their Peking duck.Food: 5/5
A beautiful dining room and several mini sections of more intimate tables nestled in a corner or side of the bar. There's a full bar on site as well. Dim sum served all day and a lot of appetizers to choose from scallion pancakes, shrimp dumplings, Gyoza and the like. My favorite entree here is the Tangerine scallops or the casserole of fish with eggplant and mushrooms. Cantonese flavors mostly but there are some fusion choices as well. Sushi and sashimi on the menu too! Vegetarian options: A lot of vegetarian choices like stir fried vegetables, tofu, spring rolls, etc. Brown rice available for the more healthy option to white rice. Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant has it's own parking lot and there's no stairs from the lot to the front door. The entrance is very wide so a wheelchair is no problem. Plenty of space to maneuver inside as well.
After coming here a few times, I can easily say I’ve never had any dish I didn’t like. This time I tried the Pan Fried noodles with chicken; it was delicious, chicken was tender, sauce was spicy and tangy, noodles were crispy. Servings are HUGE so you can order family style.
