Fantastic selection and friendly, helpful staff. One need never feel intimidated at Moore Brothers, because although they are exceedingly knowledgeable about wine, they are never snobby about it. They are more than happy to suggest menu pairings, for example. My favorite feature is that Moore Brothers provides a way to rate your purchases and will then make suggestions for similar wines based on the ones you like most as their offerings change. If you have friends with accounts at Moore Brothers, you can consult their list favorites to ensure the bottle you bring to their next dinner party is one they will enjoy.

Helpful staff and a great selection of wines direct from the producers. They get limited offerings others do not, and frequently have notable winemakers in for tastings. A must-visit source for wine lovers.

A nearly former Chez Panisse Restaurant Alum. Nearly because he was hired and never went to work but instead helped build this East Coast empire based on some influence of Kermit Lynch's wine shop in Berkeley California. This is the real deal wine importer (refrigerated container importation)with affordable and collectable wines from mainly France with Italy and other European wine regions. There are also beautiful domestic wines here. Go here if you like fresh wine that's still alive.

The description said, "specializing in small batch wine." I was disappointed to find wines from France and Italy maybe a couple from California. What happened to all the other places that make excellent wine? Like, um, New Jersey??!!!
