So I’m driving along Sunday afternoon & i feel something bounce off my left eyeball. Had to be small cuz i barely felt it. Later that night i felt an irritation in that eye so i thought maybe i had some dust or something in my eye. Didn’t think anything about it really. I get to work & the irritation has turned into actual pain. I call the local eye doctor & they are booked until mid-April but because i had mentioned that i had pain - they made room for me last minute. The folks @ Morganton Eye Physicians were caring & completely professional. Diagnosis: minor abrasion of the left cornea. He gave me some pain drops & said it would heal within the week. Paid my copay & walked away satisfied. Thanks guys!

My sister went to have surgery on her eyes and came back out to a blurred vision the Dr. From this facility told us that her vision would come back in a couple of days it has now been almost a year soon and she has not got her vision back she had to quit college she is 30 years old she is now laying in the bed all the time she can't get up to cook or do nothing on her own

Yesterday I needed to get my Mom's glasses repaired. I took them to Morganton Eye Physicians where both she and I have been patients for many many years. I went into the optical shop and walked up to the desk. There were several people at differed tables in the optical center trying on glasses. Behind the desk were 3 women in a room doing I don't know what. I stood at the desk for about 5 minutes during which more than one of these women looked at me and went back to what she was doing never acknowledging that I was standing there. Finally one came out and asked what I needed. I told her I needed to have my mom's glasses repaired and I wanted to drop them off and come back and pick them up. One of the women that was still in the room behind the desk spoke up and said " Oh you can't leave them. You have to wait on them. Glasses have been getting lost so you can't drop them off anymore." Getting lost???? I explained that I had an appointment and was not really able to wait at that time. I also asked how long did they think it might be until someone could get to them. Again the woman in the room away from the desk said " we are very busy. You might want to come back in a WEEK OR TWO" Really??? Here I stand with a pair of glasses the need repair, that were purchased from that office at a ridiculous price by a long standing patient and I am told that they could not repair them for a week or two???? That is customer service???? I responded that I would be back at another time without any intention of returning if I could find any other way of getting Mom's glasses repaired. From there I went to Walmart optical center. I got there about 20 mins before they closed for lunch. The 2 ladies in there were busy when I walked in so I looked around while I waited. In less than 5 minutes, a very nice young lady ( I am sorry I did not get her name) approached and asked if she could help me. I explained what I needed and she looked at the glasses and said that she was unsure that she could repair them but she would try. I told her I understood and if she could not we would figure out what to do from there. I walked around in Walmart for about 10 mins and came back. Not only had she fixed the glasses so that you could not tell they had ever been damaged, she did not charge me a dime. When I asked about paying, she said that was a service that they offered. Right then I decided they had gained my business. I will not be back at Morganton Eye Physicians again. If I need a service that cannot be handled by the staff in the optical center at Walmart, I will drive to an opthalmologist office out of town. Just saying that customer service counts for a great deal but courtesy and atitude is invaluable.
