When I saw the ratings, the ambience, and location, I immediately thought I was going to get an upscale restaurant experience. Unfortunately, everything was going great until the temperature in the restaurant became extremely hot. Honestly, the temperature outside on a 90+ degree day felt better than being inside the restaurant. For a second, I thought it was just me but when I looked around I saw people fanning themselves with their hands or any object they could find. The waiters were sweating like crazy and everyone seemed so uncomfortable. We addressed the issue with the restaurants and we were told by the manager that the hotel controls the temperature and there was nothing the restaurant could do about it. The food took a long time to prepare and my order was incorrect. It was so hot in there!!! My entrees came out and less than 10 minutes later I requested to take everything to-go so that I could enjoy my meal at home in the AC which was disappointing because I was there to celebrate Father’s Day with my pops and we couldn’t stay long due to the temperature inside the restaurant. The valet parking was simple and easy. I entered the restaurant near the entrance of the hotel, gave the woman at the front desk my name, and I was seated immediately. The establishment was clean, well maintained, and all the waiters seemed somewhat friendly. My waitress was great! Parking: No compliments
My husband and I wanted to celebrate my mother’s 73rd birthday. This was our first time at Morton’s the Steakhouse in Bethesda, MD. and we were so impressed. Our sever Lorena, was so hospitable and greeted us in our native language “Selam”, my mother was dress in traditional Ethiopian clothing for the special occasion. Her greeting really set the tune for the evening. Our server was very helpful and attentive as was Neils, the manager. Our food was delicious and cooked to perfection. We three ordered different steaks and each were unbelievable. Our side perfectly complemented our selections. From the starters, cocktails, wine selection, and ending with dessert. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the service, food, and ambiance of this classic restaurant. Morton’s surpassed it reputation as the ultimate dining experience.
Not expecting one of my most enjoyable nights out, I arrived at Mortons and sat at the bar. Had a few delicious drinks and a very satisfying meal, a great experience enhanced by the masterful Shalom behind the bar. If you have the time, this is a must visit of Bethesda.Food: 5/5
I brought clients here for a dinner, and everything was absolutely exceptional. You expect a certain experience walking into a Morton's, and we received absolutely that. It was first class service all the way through, with multiple people helping our table to make sure that everybody had their needs attended to. We were a moderately sized group of about eight, and my clients come there frequently, as was noted by their regularity with the staff, lol. We were not rushed in any way, because we wanted to have a happy hour, and then some appetizers, and then order the entrees. At no point did we feel pressured to go ahead and order, and the staff was so accommodating. Everything was perfectly timed, and my guests felt super appreciated and special even though they were regulars at the establishment. We had a large variety of appetizers and entrees, and I can tell you that everything was cooked perfectly, and tasted delicious. My espresso martini was the perfect night cap in such an amazing atmosphere.
I have eaten at many Morton’s restaurants around the world and this might be my new favorite! The service was excellent, the food and drinks were tasty and I really enjoyed meeting some of the staff. This location treated me like royalty from start to finish and the food was delicious! Thank you.Food: 5/5
This was our first time in Bethesda Morton’s to celebrate my husband’s birthday and I can say the staff went above and beyond to make it a special night for us. The menu was specially printed celebrating his birthday and they even took a photo of us and printed it! as a present. The waiters were very attentive, too. Finally, I had to change the reservation from 4 to 2 people and they were very understanding, the lady at the front was very helpful. We had a former celebration and we were not very hungry so just had crème spinach $14 and fillet mignon $54both of which were fine I do not like red meat that much and can only eat it well-done which is a crime I know :- so to be fair, the meat was not that great because of my preference, it was naturally dry. But Crème brûlée was delicious! My favorite thing about the night was the cocktail though - their special margarita Cocktail reserve, MARGARITA MILLONARIA with Don Julio 1942 Añejo Tequila, Sūpāsawā, Nixta Licor which was quite pricey $35 but totally worth it. Overall, it was a good experience and I recommend it. It is a solid 4,5 stars
Popped in for a nightcap and a quick bite. Wife had Lavender Cosmo and I had the Old Fashioned. Drinks were spot on. Had the dinner crab cakes and they were wonderful ; lots of crab, virtually no filling. But it was the service that made it all amazing…Lorena and Rebecca were over the top. They took great care of us, visited with us like old friends and were absolutely excellent. Thanks for the perfect end to the day!
I have been to numerous steakhouses, but this one, should be in a while category of it's own. This location treated me and my fiance like ROYALTY. From the moment we walked in we felt at home and very comfortable. The upscale energy and intimate dining experience provided for an excellent night. Our server Katherine was SUPERB. She really made me feel as if I KNEW steak. The management made sure to deliver excellent service as well, which isn't a norm for upscale restaurants. Last but not least, the Chef NEEDS to be hired for a billionaire. My steak was PERFECT, that's all I can say.
Food was incredible. We had a birthday dinner here. Very very very pricey. But everything was phenomenal. Corkage fee was 50 so we decided against it. Just had cocktails and a bottle there. The mozzarella prosciutto appetizer was the only thing we didn’t like at all. The truffle fries were amazing and the steaks were cooked perfect. Great place with a group if you’re willing to spend the money.
Extremely basic dinner. I believe fine dining is overrated. My piece of salmon was tiny. The lobster mac and cheese was good but nothing mind blowing. Wasn’t terrible wasn’t good either. Definitely not worth the moneyFood: 3/5
