Very clean room. Smoking rooms available on first floor. Quiet comfortable stay. Comfortable bed.  Great variety of channels with cable and flat screen tv. The rooms include a mini refrigerator and a microwave, a huge plus for my stay.I always enjoy my stay at the motel 6 in Auburn.Great price, friendly staff and a nice room. The Only thing that could possibly improve and convince my stay would be if motel 6 had  laundry facilities available for guest to use.  I rate them five stars and recommend them to anyone wanting a low price, comfortable, relaxing, convenient motel room.

When I checked into my room at about 6 pm, I noticed that the guest in the room next door had the TV on extremely loud.  I reported the noise to the desk clerk as I left for dinner at about 7 pm.  When I returned at about 9 pm, the TV was still extremely loud.  I communicated in person and by phone with the desk clerks at least five times over the course of the next six hours, reporting the extremely loud TV noise and asking for help to alleviate it.  The desk clerks were not helpful, claiming there was nothing they could do beyond calling the guest's room.  The desk clerks offered me the choice of packing up all my belongings (in the middle of the night) and moving to a different part of the hotel.  I was not the problem -- why should I have to move? I tried calling the guest's room myself (no answer), pounding on the door (no response), pounding on the wall between our rooms (no response) -- at 1030 pm, 1130 pm, 130 am and 330 am.  Finally, the TV sound was turned down a little bit at about 330 am, but not turned off.  I could still hear the TV when I left at 530 am to go to work.  I did not get a restful sleep, the desk clerks were not helpful nor effective in alleviating the noise (they did not leave the desk to communicate with the loud guest, they did not confirm the health or safety of the loud guest, they did not alert security, they did not call the police).  It appears that Motel 6 considers the loud guest's right to disturb other guests of way more importance than the right of all guests to have a restful night's sleep.   I travel frequently throughout the US, and often stay at Motel 6. As a long distance truck driver, it is imperative that I have a good night's sleep, for my own safety on the road, as well as the safety of all the other drivers.  In over 40 years, I have never experienced a situation like this in which the staff was so unresponsive and ineffectual in dealing with noise issues.  I refuse to pay for my recent stay at Motel 6 Auburn, and will be canceling my credit card charges.

Everything was really easy, checking in, getting towels ironing board wine opener, etc.. the room was neat and we had a great time in the pool.  It seemed crowded but it wasn't loud at all.  The best part was my dog was with us the whole time and she was very happy and comfortable as well.  I would stay at that location.  It was more afordable and had a better pool then red lion right next door where my other family members stayed.

Pros:
The people at the desk are helpful and friendly.
The room was clean.
It appears to be a newly renovated hotel.
The shower stall is great.
There was a refrigerator.

Cons
Two small pillows were not adequate for me. 
The bath towels were small and rough.  
There was no hair dryer in the room.

The air condition was noise in the room above me or next to me. Mine was quite. My bed was a little too hard to sleep on.  The mattress was soft enough but no give, therefore, it was hard to sleep on.
