The building's exterior and lobby were freshly remodeled, but the room did not match the same appearance. The bathroom was dingy from years of paint on the walls, an obvious yellow stain on the floor behind the toilet and a missing marble tile on the front of the sink. No box spring, just a mattress on a platform that slid when trying to sit up and rest against the wall in bed. It was apparent that the bench in the bay window, underneath the removable cushion, was not regularly cleaned. Housekeeping knocked on the door before check out time to ask if we were leaving. Perhaps communication from staff should have been coordinated by the front desk, not at our door. At 9:30 am fresh coffee was still available and the coffee area was very clean. Front desk was very friendly and welcoming. Our stay was just an okay experience. Our choice to book was driven solely by price point. Overall, better hotel management would have made for a better review.

We stayed 8 nights here and were very pleased. It was very clean, the staff very pleasant and helpful, and the beds comfortable. It's bright and cheerful, very nice. An all around great experience, would highly recommend.

The hotel was very clean and modern. The staff was very nice and helpful. This a budget motel so, I have to compare it to other budget motels. Not fair to compare to luxury hotels. For the location, room size and comfort, the room seemed to be on the expensive side. I would not have stayed here except I needed a location for eclipse viewing. I have no intention to return to either Motel 6, any Motel 6, or Simpsonville. The bathroom smelled of urine. I literally mopped the floor with a towel and hand soap and, it still smelled of urine. I did not report because it was only 1 night and I didn't want the drama. It is hard to clean tiled surfaces and any crack in the mortar traps moisture and it's smells. Too bad.

We travel with 2 small dogs and always try to find a highly rated Motel 6 to stay. We don't need fancy, just clean and comfortable. This was our first stay at this property and we were generally satisfied with the stay. Two small issues, I had to call the front desk about our air conditioner as the cooling cycle would not operate unless the fan was set to run constantly, and my wife and I found the beds to be very hard. One night was OK, but more than that would have been rough! One more issue, was we were assigned a second story room with no warning there were no elevators. We are seniors and were able to climb the stairs OK but it might present a problem to others. No problem with cleanliness, it was very nice.

The people were nice and helpful. The lady came and made my bed but forgot to take my dirty towels out of the bathroom. I wish the wash clothes were plush. They felt like a shop towel. But other than that it was a good stay.i felt safe. I wish they had a continental breakfast like other hotels for the price.
