I was pleasantly surprised with the staff and room. This is my first ever stay at a Motel 6. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely friendly and welcoming. the room beat my expectations in that it was clean and orderly, the bed (King) was well made with plenty of good pillows. Although the bathroom was extremely small, it served the purpose and the water pressure was great. What got me to Motel 6 was they allow pets, however I ended up leaving the dog at home.

This place is great! The check in was friendly and smooth. The room was clean and comfortable. We liked the place enough to stay again on our return trip coming back north. There is a great little brewery—Creek Bottom Brewing— just down the road in Galax that was great for dinner! All-around great place to stop for the night. Far above the quality of some Motel 6s we’ve stayed before-a great value. Also no extra charge for our dog, which is great if you’re traveling with a pet. Highly recommended!

Greeted by personable and helpful Anna upon arrival. Room was clean and quiet. Bed was comfortable. Clientele was mostly working men when I was there; early to bed and early to rise. No extra amenities, consistent with low price. Good value IMHO.

This place is very clean and well organized. It's a modest motel but very pleasant and reliable. There is no breakfast but you can go anywhere around the area for that. The price is reasonable which helps especially if you are retired. They are very "Canadian friendly" with a Canadian flag flying next to it's American friend. I talked to the owner and he's well educated and knows the business. If you're looking for a clean safe place to spend a night or two this is it.

The Hillsville VA Motel 6 is the nicest M6 we have ever stayed in. Anna at the front desk was incredibly personable and helpful. The room was immaculately CLEAN! (What a change from the Statesville NC M6, which was filthy, sparse, w/indifferent-to-rude staff - but that’s for another review). Back to Hillsville: We stay in M6’s exclusively because we travel with our dog, so I have come to expect “OK”, at best. Not so Hillsville. We might have been in the Ritz. Big fluffy pillows (and lots of them), warm fluffy comforters, a CLEAN fridge, CLEAN microwave, and a spotless and FUNCTIONAL bath. Everything about the place was 1st class - even the 24-hour coffee service in the lobby. Seriously - we drive from Atlanta to NY several times/year, and routinely stop in M6’s on the way. We will now be altering our plans to ensure we get to stay at the Hillsville M6 on all future trips. It’s the best!
