First night we were ready to cancel next two nights. Lot live in people there. Was very loud till 3:30am. Drugs. Called to cancel they offered remodel room. So we moved. Still no air condition. They need to not put travelers on the same side of people living there. I have stayed at few motel 6. Will not stay at this one up on returning to Reno. The front desk were nice.

Part of the poor overall and cleanliness rating is more due that we landed there in the middle of a remodel. The other part is that the non-smoking room smelled so badly of cigarette smoke that we went to Walgreen's and bought Fabreeze that we would spray liberally upon leaving and entering the room. It helped, a little...

The hope is this will be resolved during the remodel as the smoke infused furnishings will and or are being replaced.

That said if we do attend another event at the live stock center we will consider staying there again as the remodel should be done by next year.

The staff were all very friendly.

Wow.  This is not a flagship hotel for this chain!  Was given a room that made drug dens look good! The staff moved me to a better room, but still not a place I'd want my family to stay. Glad I was solo this trip!

Rooms were newly renovated.  Pretty and clean.  AC didn't cool room. Was hot to sleep. While laying around the pool seemed like people were living in the hotel.  Everyone knew each other. Felt really weird.

The room was clean, even though the furniture was very worn.  The floor was sticky, so I didn't go barefoot.  The main reason for two stars was the dangerousness of the premises and the lack of security.  There was a schizophrenic woman walking around yelling and two guys loitering around the hotel who really looked like they didn't belong there.  I was grateful to see good locks on the door and windows. It would also be a good idea to give a single woman a room on an upper floor and not the ground floor, just as an added safety measure.
