The first room I entered smelled very bad. The toilet was disgusting with a layer of nasty scum and a yellow ring. It would not flush. I was offered a refund or another room. I opted to try another room. The second room didn't smell too bad. I got my dinner and attempted to turn the TV on. No go on that. Picked up the phone to call the front desk. The phone did not work. Called with my cell phone. The desk clerk came with 5 remotes. None worked. Manually turned the TV on with one channel only. I was tired so settled for that. My feet were literally black! The wood floor was filthy. I had purchased a coffee and put it in the refrigerator for morning. The microwave was wedged shut with a piece of a beer box. It did not work. No morning coffee for me.

The room was not what we expected after our friends had raved about Motel 6. The room was hot and smelled musty, the A/C was noisy, low cool air. The floor was dirty and full of footprints. The mini fridge was open and filled with mold. The light by the bed did not work. The truth is we were so tired we slept with our clothes on and on top of covers. A Scary situation after a long ride looking for a night of rest and peace. There was a police patrol car driving around the parking lot looking for someone. We could not sleep and left at sunrise.

The Staff were friendly. That's all the good that I can say about our stay. I had my 88 year old mother with me. They had no non-smoking room on the first floor, so we were forced to take a smoking room on the first floor. Once in the room, we had to leave the door open for awhile to air the room out. It had a small refrigerator in the room, but it had been left open and was hot. There was no information about the room, the area, or anything. No TV Channel line-up. The sink had public hair from an African-American person. The water pressure in the sink was almost non-existent. To flush the commode, you had to hold the handle down until the bowl emptied out. The shower drain was almost completely clogged. By the time I finished my shower, the tub was half full of water. It took more then 4 hours to completely empty out. My mother was going to take a shower until I told her and she decided it might be better if she just washed up for fear of falling in a tub full of water. When I checked out the following morning, I informed the staff, at they didn't seem to care, and I can assume that the room had been in that condition for a while.

First off let me say this is not the Ritz Carlton and if you go in knowing this and not expecting this your stay will be amazing. Rooms very clean, comfortable, staff friendly and a great location. For what you pay here you can't go wrong. If you are one who likes to complain about everything stay home or go pay $300 or $400 a night in Downtown Savannah. BTW after staying here I did go downtown and stay and actually Motel 6 was just as clean or cleaner. Get off your high and mighty better than everyone else and go enjoy a clean comfortable room and an amazing price for the area.

The first room they put us in had someone else's stuff in it. The second room they gave us was just disgusting. The toilet looked like it had not been cleaned in a very long time. The bathtub had pubic hairs and little pieces of used soap in it. There was also a used washcloth hanging on the shower rod. There was trash underneath the beds and several key cards from other customers that were left inside room. I wasn't expecting anything fancy from the room, but I was expecting it to be clean. I will not be staying there anymore.
