Overall:
A really nice hotel to stay at.  Just bring your own shampoo and conditioner.
Room was clean, and updated, bathrooms were nicely done up, and clean.
Issues:
The room: Was really nice, even compared to other hotels I have stayed at (More expensive one's).  The issue I had was the door safety latch was broken off at the door, and hadn't been replaced.
The grounds: Overall were very clean, and nice.  Needs some landscaping done, and maybe some lighting at the entrance to make it a little easier to find those (If it's allowed).

Beds were comfortable,  and that's the main reason we stay at a hotel. Not a new hotel, and could use some upkeep, but room was clean and staff was very helpful  (especially when our keys wouldn't work!). A good place to stay, and the price was much better than the newer places in town.

I was met with friendly service. Room was clean and roomy. My AC was a little loud thou. But I would definitely stay there again

We were concerned with the safety features (the upper latch was broken & the doorplate & deadbolt were not aligned thus it would not latch) that were not working in room 225. When we decided to stay another night, the staff was helpful in accommodating us in another room.
The air conditioning units work well but are a bit loud.
We've enjoyed the hotel for it's convenience & value but it could use some TLC.

I had read the reviews online so I sort of braced myself for what to expect. This wasn't a first choice for me.  I usually stay at 4-5 star places.   It was a last minute decision to come the night before for a college event in town and this was one of 3 chains that still had rooms available(other choices were Super 8 or Americas Value Inn)   I guess it's true you get what you pay for.   I know this is a bare bones place and that is exactly what it is. 1 bar of soap provided, 4 plastic glasses and plastic ice tub.   And towels that had seen some better days.  Make sure you bring a blow dryer if you use one. 

It was fairly clean, however upon entering the room it was 100 degrees in there and I found 2 dead bugs on the floor.  A couple of the lights didn't work, but no biggie. Thankfully the a/c worked.

The property looks like it has been updated, and is probably originally 30-40 years old.  This location does have updated paint, and furniture. There is also faux wood looking vinyl or laminate which is way better than carpet.  The beds are a platform style with a mattress only(it could have been just a tad softer for my comfort, but it was ok).  So the paint, beds and vanity area have been updated, but the shower/ commode area was less than desired.  The commode looked about 40 years old, the baseboard was tearing away at the bottom near the floor and the shower/tub was a pre-fab plastic model that wasn't the cleanest.  Updating and painting does not necessarily make things clean.  It is as though they painted over everything without cleaning first.  Anyway wasn't surprised as I paid $60 for the night and based on previous reviews I was prepared. It could definitely use some more TLC.   It worked in a pinch, but don't think I could stay at another one if I had to.
