Looked nice, smelled awesome n the room unlike the circle inn not far from here. ...thank u for a good night sleep. .. I just did a 15 hour drive. . 10 more hours to go

This motel needs a complete remodel. It is old and showing its age. Bathroom did not even have a functioning light in it. My room was reasonably clean but had a musty smell. They need NEW TOWELS and PILLOWS!  Shame on me for assuming there would be WiFi. Who doesn't? Microwave and refrigerator in the room worked well. No in room coffee. Very good air conditioner but no blanket on the bed.

We stayed here for a month.  Besides the fact that the motel is old and needs many repairs the stay was at least 2 stars.  Towards the end I started seeing a lot of bugs including the bed bug on my mattress by my pillow as I was laying down to sleep.  When I went to the office he told me 1 more night and the bug guy would be there.  He would not give me another room until I threatened to call the county.  He then kicked us out.  We went to the Days Inn which they also own and he called and had us kicked out of there also. NO MORE MOTEL 6 EVER.

Short story: 
Modern room, non smoking room smelled like smoke, many bugs, paper thin walls, had to argue with the front desk just to get a refund. 

Long story:
We were very excited after a long day of travelling to get an affordable room and were pleased with how modern the layout and the furniture was. There was fly inside, a bug near the toilet, and we could hear the tv and coughs from the room next door, but we were willing to overlook those things just because the room was nice and we just wanted to leave and grab a bite to eat. When we returned after dinner, there was another bug on the wall near the bed and we noticed the smell of smoke. We decided to call the front desk since we were in a non-smoking room and the lady ended up going to the man's door and tried to deal with it. Just after she left, we heard the door open to the room next to us and then started smelling more smoke. It was apparent that the man was smoking right in front our window. We decided we did not feel comfortable staying the night next to someone like that, especially when all we wanted was a non-smoking room. We asked for another room since it was 11 o'clock at night but the only one offered to us had 2 doubles instead of a king and the first thing that we saw was a bug fly out of the air conditioning when we tried to adjust it. Needless to stay, we didn't feel comfortable with Motel 6 and wanted a refund. Getting that refund from the person at the desk was like pulling teeth, their policy was to only give 50%, but eventually, after 10 minutes of arguing, we finally got our money back and ended up sleeping in our small car.

Why do Motel 6 room sizes vary so much? This one was "newly renovated" leaving barely room to breathe! And, as with many other Motel 6 "non-smoking" rooms, this one too smelled like smoke. I was able to air it out to tolerate an overnight. The front desk clerk was friendly and welcoming but when I called to request a back up roll of toilet paper, she said I could come get it at the front desk. Really?? I'm no prima dona but I thought this was downright rude. Good-bye Motel 6.
