Mount Pleasant Pier is just an all around amazing and beautiful place to visit. We saw folks doing workouts, yoga, jogging, walking, fishing off the pier (permit required). There is a play park with slides and jungle gyms for the little ones to make new friends and play in a safe and secure environment as there is a gate around it. We saw people of all ages. The ice cream truck even paid a visit (it was a 'real feel' of 104 degrees at this time).  It's a nice beautiful walk all the way to the end. There are benches as well as bench swings with roofs overhead. You get spectacular views of the water and the Arthur Ravenel Junior bridge no matter what part of the pier or park you're in. This is one of those places you must see when you visit the Charleston or Mount Pleasant area...and it's free.

Great place for kids or for family. Very relaxing. Lots of parking space. Amazing atmosphere.

Great place to take the family. Good parking and facilities. Great view to watch the sunset.

Great spot for all with available parking and lots of benches to either watch the fishing or contemplate life.  Great gift/tackle shop with clean bathrooms and refreshments.
