Story

Established in 1973, the Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center is a Network of three federally qualified Joint Commission accredited community health centers. Located in Mt. Vernon, Yonkers and Greenburgh, New York. As a Primary Care Medical Home, the Center provides comprehensive, patient-centered health care services to approximately 110,000 registered patients annually with over 250,000 annual encounters.

I would like to take this moment to commend the Mount Vernon Hlth. Ctr.. for the outstanding progress made in the internal medicine Department in regards to the wait time to see a doctor. This has improved tremendously, tremendously. I was pleasantly surprised over the last couple of months going to my primary care doctor and getting in and out within an hour or less. So I want to take the time to commend them for that tremendous progress. I would also want to use this moment to thank my doctor by the name of Boma Park this woman is so intelligent, she's extremely knowledgeable, caring and full of compassion and empathy. She's patient and most importantly she listens. I've been seeing Dr Park for the last 10 years. When my son's turned 18 last year I sent them straight to Dr Park from the adolescent dept. I've been going to the Mount Vernon Health Center since 1997 and I will continue to go there because I see progress and that changes are being made. tthank you, thank you, thank you.

It honestly makes no sense trying to make an appointment  for the morning because the doctors do not come until the afternoon. This place needs new workers. Their staff are ancient slugs, don't bother you deserve better.

Arriving 15 minutes early for my appointment left me enough time to get sorted and into the waiting room. After that it was only about 20 minutes til my blood pressure was checked then another 40 til I was seen by the doc. All in all the whole trip took me about 2 hours and I was able to pickup my meds at the pharmacy there (convenient). The whole trip was a bit better than I am used to from doctor's offices so I'll probably go back again.
