Story

Mountain State Brewing Co. is the largest full-scale microbrewery and distributor in the state of West Virginia. The brewery is located in Thomas, WV and we have brewpubs in Morgantown, WV and Deep Creek Lake, MD.

In Deep Creek Lake we offer a full lunch & dinner menu, kids menu, homemade Mountain State Root Beer and 18 rotating craft beer taps. We're known for our wood-fired flatbreads served in a rustic warm atmosphere. There is patio seating during the warmer months with stunning views of the sun setting behind the mountains.

This place is amazing. We came here after some research and a recommendation from our hotel's front desk. We couldn't have been happier. Their beer is spectacular. The flatbreads though, that's what you need to have. They were awesome. the portions are huge though so be aware. Lastly, the service was spot on. Our waiter was there when we needed him, and not when we didn't, exactly what you want. We don't come up to deep Creek often, but this place is on our list anytime we do.

Great place, friendly and fast service. Get out of your comfort zone and try flatbreads you wouldn't normally go for. They are delicious!

Came to Maryland for the weekend for a wedding. Was looking for a place to eat and came across this restaurant near the resort. I went here 2 days in a row because it is that good! Ordered the beer sampler, Spinach & artichoke dip, Chicken noodle soup, Caesar salad, Sweet Kickin' Chicken and Fire on the Mountain. The flatbread pizzas was excellent, I haven't had good pizza like that in awhile and it was pretty big for a large. Their soup of the day which was chicken noodle is actually really good, definitely should try it out. Staff was very kind and service is great. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you are around the area!

We came as a family to deep creek for the weekend and had lunch here one day. The beer sampler was excellent with a nice variety. The pizzas we ordered were ok, perhaps a bit overdone but tasty. Glad we came across this place overall

Ate here for lunch today. The food was very good. The "flatbreads" are pizzas (just a note for ordering purposes). We ordered two different ones (one margarita, not sure of the other one) and both were delicious. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich, which was awesome. We ordered two cocktails off of the seasonal cocktail menu. I got the orange-crush one. It was huge, fresh, tasty, powerful and pricey ($12). But delicious. My spouse got the sangria, which also was delicious. Our server was fantastic. But we had several problems getting seated at the not-so-busy hour of 2 pm. (The dining room was half empty.) The hostess was confused and kind of blew us off. We sat in the foyer for 15 minutes until a second hostess came and seated us. That said, I would definitely go back -- and drink and eat more next time.
