nice clean, level park. central to things to see, laval fields, atomic plant, gold hill. owners are friendly. we have stayed here twice, but the last time we were there they jacked up the price past my $35 limit ( too many free spots out there to be paying that much)

The guy at the front was nice and it does have a restaurant but on that night he said he didnt have staff on duty therefore it was not open. We opt to explore the restaurants close by. This town seems small and creepy but the campground was inviting. Great place to stay before going to the Crater of the Moon. There are showers and bathrooms on site.

Not so good in October. The restrooms we stopped for were closed. We could have dry camped and saved the fees. This place has been fine until this year. The man was gruff with my wife and I will never get her to stop here again.

The owner does not know how to handle things or how to treat guests, especially when things get a bit busy. Some of our issues: - He would not give the wificode, claimed it was 'broken'. He mentioned to another guest that he wouldn't give the code to anyone because 'they might use it'. We never got the code from him. - The men's bathrooms were filthy, the women's were like a sauna (badly ventilated). - He'd say no to one guest and yes to another, spots were given out to whoever he liked, not whoever came first. - People were waiting a long time for their food in the restaurant. At some point one of the park guests(!) had to help him out because he didn't know how to handle things. He didn't arrange for extra help on the eclipse weekend? That's just stupid. - He was rude to a lot of people, including us. It just felt like he didn't want all the business from the eclipse weekend! Come on man, this was your chance to shine!

We had a very ecliptic weekend! Mountain View RV Park is an awesome place to visit! Very family friendly and classy place. Lots of nice pull thru spaces and shady trees. The restaurant there has excellent food and really good smoked ribs. The restaurant is closed on Sundays, but it is open every evening for dinner. Their restaurant is definitely the best in town. American Band Family was here! Follow us on our adventures on Facebook at AmericanBandFamily!
