Story

We are a local, family owned company, dedicated to taking the stress out of your move. We offer full service residential and commercial moving services as well as packing, unpacking, loading, unloading, furniture assembly, furniture rearranging and driving assistance. We also are well versed in the unique needs for piano moves.

Additionally, our delivery/freight division is experienced with white glove deliveries, hot shot, courier/delivery services and LTL freight. We have short term warehousing available to help with your logistical needs. Please give us a call to learn more.

We strive to be there for you when you need it most. We offer competitive rates and provide services for a 200 mile radius from St. Joseph, Missouri. We offer cash, check and Visa/Mastercard/Discover/American Express as payment methods.

Additionally, we are the only moving company to belong to the Saint Joseph Missouri Chamber of Commerce. We also belong to the Better Business Bureau and the American Moving and Storage Association.

On the whole a good experience. They were a bit late, but they worked hard to get it done as quickly as possible. One of the movers only really helped with the furniture, but they still got it done within an hour. My only concerns were the somewhat late arrival and the lack of any confirmation once you schedule the move. I had to call to confirm. But with swift, careful movers, reasonable rates, and personable workers this is a minor concern.

These people were great! A job that could've easily taken 6-7 hours and they were finished in 3.5 hours! Moving multiple houses, super huge and heavy furniture. The movers each introduced themselves, were very friendly, and seemed like a family. Theresa went out of her way to accommodate my move, more than she needed to. At no time did anyone sit or take time off; they worked diligently and consistently the entire time. And the price was great! This was just a great experience.

I have moved several times and this is the first time I had a moving company that was quick, very careful moving everything, polite, professional and moved items like they were their own. We had to move a duplex and a townhouse into one house and the movers got a nightmare move done in 8 hours and hardly took any breaks. It was hot and humid. I can't say enough good things about this company. If you are moving in the St Joe area they are definitely the company to use. They were more expensive but you get what you pay for. Thank you M&S for the wonderful job you did for Dave and I. You made our lives very easy for the most stressful move.

I had no problem with this company as far as their service, although they arrived a little on both days, Luella and Michael were very professional, and for the most part handled our things with care. However, after we reviewed our bill, we were overcharged $125, and they damaged a 40" flatscreen tv.  Initially, Teresa was very accomodating, and assured me that she would get the check in the mail the following Monday. for the overcharge, and make it right for the tv.  After a week, I called to check on the progress and was told that she would mail the check the next day, and the insurance co. paid 60 cents per pound for the damaged tv.  I explained that wouldn't even come close to replacing it, but she was very short and said she would get back the same day (Thursday). In the next 2 weeks, I left 3 voice mails, which went unanswered.  This last Monday, I received my check for $125 plus $18 for the TV, with a copy of my contract.  Sure enough, insurance pays 60 per pound.  It cost me $200 to replace the tv with a model one year older.  I work in an industry where we handle other folks property daily, and if we ruin it, we IMMEDIATELY replace it with a like item, regardless of our insurance agreements.  Was she legally in the right, absolutely, but as a businesswoman, she should be more concerned about repeat business, and word of mouth referrals.  I guess the one time business is enough for her now, but it doesn't bode well for the future.

M&S sent a team of 4 movers and had our ENTIRE 20' truck unloaded and dispersed to the appropriate floors in our home (upstairs and down) within 2 HOURS. We were shocked and very pleased.

In addition, they were very kind, professional, and careful with our belongings. Very reasonably priced compared to movers we've used in Lincoln and Omaha, NE and Saint Louis, MO...What a pleasant surprise.

Definitley recommend!
