Rachel is the BEST! I was having severe sciatica after my third pregnancy. Went to chiropractors and nothing had helped. After a few weeks of treatment with her and my at home program, I was finally having some relief! She is very knowledgeable in her field and not only a strong professional but also a kind and genuine person. I can enjoy lofe again! I learned so much and highly recommend her to anyone!

Put my life back in my hands! The owner/operator Rachel is sensitive, patient and at the cutting edge of physical therapy techniques and technologies. I have a history of back pain and in 2015 required back surgery at only 27 years old. For six months I wallowed in depression. Another 6 were spent searching for answers in traditional PT, stretching and random exercise, but these only exacerbated my struggles. With my back against the wall I felt I was losing who I was as a person to the dull, persistent, lobotomy of pain. It has not been easy, Rachel makes you work hard and push yourself (would we want anything else from a trainer?), but less than a year working with Rachel and I am feeling like my life is back in my hands!!! I am no longer a victim of my pain or genetics. Instead Rachel has built strategies for ME, not a size M, 29 yr old male or what-have-you but she's tailored each exercise, progression and practice to work for my body and my level of fitness. I am now as active as I have been since surgery and making progress daily! Her monthly letter is insightful and practical, her advice specific and functionary and her company is the best kind of human warmth. I can not recommend Movement Sense highly enough!

Rachel Lauchnor is the best physical therapist I have ever worked with. She was the only person I have met in the last 2 years (and I have tried many therapists/chiropractors) to address the source of my low back pain and ruptured disc, as well as other past injuries that contribute to poor movement patterns. She is so detailed in her approach, intuitive, and wise. She took a detailed history and fixed my alignment. She taught me how to do the same. The neuromuscular reeducation and training I received from her has allowed my body to heal and correct itself. Time spent with her is worth every penny. She knows her stuff and I trust her. I felt like Rachel's approach to healing injury, training, and wellness is above and beyond anything I have personally witnessed. I have worked in PT offices, I've been a patient due to injury and I have a masters in clinical exercise physiology. When I say she is the best, she is the BEST!! I will be forever grateful to her!

I had a car accident that left me with back and neck pain and chronic migraines; needing Imitrex 2-3 times times a week. I had tried multiple other treatments including chiropractic, trigger point release massage, acupuncture, and dry needling. These helped temporarily, but never provided long-term relief. Rachel helped me see how I had developed poor movements and habits that kept my body in positions that triggered my pain and headaches. As an occupational therapist who works in Neuro Rehab, I am familiar with movement and positioning, and would have thought I knew better. However, I realized it’s difficult to assess your own body and objectively see how you’re moving. Rachel has helped me in every area of my daily life: tasks like grocery shopping, playing with my children, working with patients, and jogging and biking. She’s helped me to grow stronger in needed areas, to understand how I move and use my body, and has taught me the correct way to go about functional tasks. I have finished treatment with awesome results, and now see her for movement classes, such as Oov, to continue to learn and stay balanced. I can’t say enough good things about Rachel - she is truly dedicated to helping people. I am surrounded by therapists in my line of work, and am always amazed by how knowledgeable and skillful Rachel is. She has so much expertise in so many areas, and is truly proficient in movement therapy. She can assess the real problems, and help you make changes to alleviate them. The cost may initially put you off. You may lean towards treatment with a PT through insurance, pay your co-pay, likely go for many visits, and receive cookie cutter therapy. However, if you really want to get to the bottom of the problem and want life-time results, you should see Rachel… the investment is worth it!!

I met the incredible Physical Therapist, Rachel Lauchnor of Movement-Sense ,in 2014. She is literally the reason I can walk, run and ride my bicycles correctly again. In March of 2013 I was in a car accident where among other injuries, I herniated my L5/S1 disk and also have two tears in it. The radiating pain in my back, pelvis, leg and into my foot was so unbearable It hurt to sit, stand or walk. I was a professional runner and elite cyclist. It was hard to imagine I would ever be able to compete again. I had gone to many Sports doctors, surgeons, PT's, Chiropractors and more. No one was able to help me to retrain my gait and allow me to plant my feet correctly. I finally had a doctor refer me to Lauchnor. Her attention to detail, integration of Pilates and intelligent movement as part of my time with her were exactly what I needed to help me heal and start running and cycling again. I highly recommend Movement-Sense to get you back to feeling balanced in your body and feel well again.
