Mr. Miller's Art Emporium...and Other Useful Things is a working studio and gallery offering a wide selection of fine art, fun art, pottery, jewelry, glassware, gifts and collectibles created by local, regional and nationally known artists. .

After having enjoyed five years of waterfront breezes at our Saugatuck,MI location, we have moved just across the river to join many other fine art galleries in picturesque Douglas. Our spacious new gallery sits on the corner of Spring Street, 48 West Center Street, Douglas, 49406 next door to Respite Cappuccino Court. When you stop by, you are likely to find owner Linda Hopkins Laakso working on a watercolor, or one or more of our artists painting, sketching, beading, or engaged in a creative activity.

The gallery will open for the 2017 season April 28. Seven galleries neighbor galleries, all located on Center Street, have teamed up to form a consortium we've called "Art on Center." Festivities hosted by participating galleries will include artist receptions, demonstrations, new exhibitions, hors d’oeuvres and more, beginning with spring previews on Saturday, May 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. Other planned dates - all Saturdays - include June 10, July 15, Aug. 19, Sept. 9 and the 40th Annual Fall Gallery Stroll, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 7 and 8, 2017.

Mr. Miller's Art Emporium is very excited to be hosting the nationally acclaimed, award winning plein air artist R. Gregory Summers for a three day oil painting workshop September 22, 23 and 24.
