The Mt. Pleasant Library Friends are a volunteer non-profit organization committed to supporting the library staff in serving our community. We raise money through book sales, recycle books, and sponsor supplementary library programming! Please consider joining us to help sort books, run sales and meet members of the community.

This place is great for studying and relaxing. The staff is great, informative, and helpful. Alot of people use the place to access the internet, and others use it to study.  On the down side it could be a little cleaner.

This library needed an upgrade & it's way much better then the old one.....it's more comfy, better computers, cleaner restrooms (female) every time I've to use it, great selection of books & most of all that old librarian is gone she wasnt even at the interm location either

This is a beautiful building with large windows, solid wood chairs and tables and high ceilings. It is quiet and I've spent weeks writing here very happily. The staff are mostly friendly and the users are a mixed bunch but I've met some wonderful people. All in all, a very special place. Would certainly recommend!

I may be missing something, this is a nice building but the book selection is terrible and I have NO idea how they have been arranged.  It's very bizarre.

Love this place! Beautiful building and so many books. Having a DC library card is great, and you can order materials and pick it up here. There's also rooms to reserve and many materials to read, classes and movies to attend.
