This is a disgrace to abandon a cemetery.what about the family members who want to visit their loved ones? I've been driving by here for you and it just gets worse and worse. The cemeteries around it are perfectly manicured this place is horrible I feel sorry for the family members. This Philadelphia is saddened by the neglect of these owners. the city should be looking into this

I have several relatives buried here including my grandparents. I am deeply saddened to hear about the condition of the cemetery. I wonder if the cemetery has a "Friends of" group that could help maintain it. I visited many years ago and it didn't seem so bad then.

I have family buried in the cemetery. It has been mismanaged and subjected to vandalism and abuse. It was a prominent place in the days when Laurel Hill Cemetery (its neighbor across Ridge Ave.) was started. Lionel Barrymore is buried in Mt. Vernon. It is a sorry state of affairs that te cemetery is in.

it is kept locked 24/7 and the owner is not nice at all when he does return your call. Since 2007 only 2 or 3 people have been allowed to enter. The cemetery is VERY run down and SEVERLY neglected.

It is a shame to see this so poorly cared for, especially compared to places like Laurel Hill.
