IF I COULD GIVE LESS THAN ONE STAR I WOULD. I WENT TO HIM COMPLAINING THAT IT FELT LIKE I WAS WALKING THROUGH KNEE DEEP PUDDING AFTER FALLING AT THE ICE ARENA AND HE CONVINCED ME THAT THE PROBLEM WAS IN MY CERVICAL SPINE AND RECOMMENDED FUSION..WELL HE FUSED FRON C-4 TO T-2 (OR T-5 DEPENDING ON WHICH RADIOLOGIST YOU BELIEVE) AND CRIPPLED ME. WHEN I TOLD HIM I THOUGHT HE RUINED MY LIFE HE REFUSED TO SEE ME AFTER THAT POINT AND NOW 5 YEARS LATER STILL REFUSES TO SEE ME BECASE HE IS A QUACK AND I TOLD HIM SO DURING OUR LAST MEETING IN 2011(OR 12 I CAN'T REMEMBER)...I HAVE HAD 3 NEUROLOGISTS TELL ME THEY HAVE " NO IDEA WHY HE FUSED AS MANY BONES AS HE DID AS THE CT-SCANS DIDN'T SHOW ANYTHING WRONG IN THE BOTTOM 2-3 THAT WERE FUSED " AND 3 NEUROSURGEONS REUSED TO WORK ON IT TO FIX IT BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T WANT THEIR NAME ASSOCIATED WITH HIS SHODDY WORK ! ! . I NOW WALK HUNCHED OVER WITH A 4 WHEELED WALKER AND MY RETIREMENT YRS ARE SHOT BECAUSE OF THIS MAN AND THE COURTS WON'T LET ME SUE HIM AFTER 2 YRS WHICH IS STUPID AS IT SOMETIMES TAKES THAT LONG JUST TO HEAL. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND HIM TO FIX A F___ING FISH............................. just sayin

Dr. Schermerhorn saved my husbands life in surgery, and continues to play a major role in his recovery. Words cannot express our gratitude. He is an exceptional surgeon, and an exceptional man. In our opinion.....THE BEST. I too thank him for all the support he has given me.

This Doctor sucks my mom has been seeming him for her neck. SHE has done everything this doctor has asked her to do and everyone is saying she needs this surgery and he won't done it because he is refering everything to how his father is after the surgery and everyone is diff. So please don't see this doctor.
