BIG fan of their Sunday brunch. The food is always plentiful and tasty. The wait staff is always courteous and attentive. If you have a large party, be sure to make a reservation. If dropping in on a whim, get there before 11 or plan on waiting for quite a while.

Ah man, a truly must-visit! The place has an authentic old style pub atmosphere, which I'm sure further assisted by the warm fireplace that's the central focus point. They were very busy at the time of our visit but they managed the queue well and service was warm and friendly once we were seated. The waiting times can be a bit long, so it's not a place for those in rush. There were a number of families too, so I'd say it's a kids-friendly place but the tables are tightly arranged and there is a lot of scurrying around with hot plates - just supervise the kiddos.
We'll certainly visit again! Cheers 🍻

We were visiting the DC area and stopped by Old Town Alexandria because we heard it was a nice, cozy area. Murphy's Grand Irish Pub definitely fits that image - we sat upstairs and they placed us RIGHT next to the fireplace (real wood, not gas). 

Very relaxing atmosphere, great drinks, excellent food (I ordered the Seafood Platter).

5/5 Would go back if I lived nearby.

We loved this pub... great beer and flight options... the Irish food menu was perfect... the music wasn’t too loud... the ambiance was worth the visit... it’s a long time pub for locals... great for a sports game too! I’ll be back, soon I hope!

Adorable pub in the heart of Alexandria with great service and ambiance! Went there for lunch and our entire party ordered the ribs right before the lunch specials ended. Delicious! We loved the wood burning fireplace and Christmas decorations. Highly recommend!
