About

Your Sonoma home away from home! Traditional pub with Irish memorabilia collected over many years. Come for a pint or a whiskey, stay for a meal! Slainte!

Story

The founders, Larry and Rose Murphy have recreated the feeling, hospitality and ambiance of a “local” from a village in Ireland. That tradition is carried on by proprietors Bill Pollock and Bob Smith, long time patrons and researchers of the art of the “Pub”. Drop in and enjoy a pint, grab a bite to eat, lots of conversation, live music, literary events, weekly trivia events and much more.

Murphy’s offers an exceptional variety of beers, both Premium International Beers such as Guinness & Murphy's Stouts, Smithwicks, Fullers ESB and more, as well as great local and craft beers. An of course we offer a variety of fine Sonoma Valley wines (it is the wine country after all!) Families are welcome at Murphy's; kids like our food and parents enjoy the reasonable prices. It's a friendly atmosphere and we have outdoor seating; the patio is covered and heated in the winter.

Come join us as we listen to great live music, play Trivia (Weds at 7:30), watch sports and play darts.

We look forward to see you soon!

Good beer on tap, friendly staff, a fun atmosphere, and really good food, especially for a pub. We had a great time here watching the Warriors game. The split pea soup was rich and smokey with lovely fresh herbs on top. The salmon was tasty and came with perfect vegetables, very fresh and not squishy. The bangers and mash was really nice too. This is one of the few places a family can watch a game over dinner because, unlike the sports bars, they are willing to seat a minor at a table. The owner is especially friendly and comes by to chat with everyone and make sure everyone is happy. We'll be back!

Great place tucked away. It was busy and our wait staff kept up. We sat out side and enjoyed the sun. It's a great spot to stop and grab some lunch if walking around town. The food was great. Fairly certain they allow dogs outside so that's a plus if you like the doggos.

We're locals, and this used to be a "go-to" place for us. Went yesterday and discovered that there was a new menu. It had fewer items and was more of a cliche of Irish menu items, and the beer list had more Irish beers than local California brews. The servers were different, and canned Irish music played too loud in the place. It was like some new management had taken a comfortable, friendly place and had tried to put a chain-restaurant faux-Irish vibe onto it. I'm not sure we'll be back - time to look for a new "go-to."
