This was Saunder's Market when I lived in Trinidad, just after the last Ice Age.  They specialized in giant sloth furs and mastodon steaks at the time (you could feed a family of 12 with one of those!), but I had a nice friendship with the butcher (finding personable butchers in the big city that speak English is damn near impossible) and shopped here regularly... because it was the only grocery store around.  Otherwise, we'd have to hike across the land bridge all the way back to Siberia for groceries, and that was disappearing rapidly at the time and none of us knew how to swim, so Saunder's was the IT place here.

Great folks, excellent service, prices a bit too high (It ain't Safeway, after all) and the only place in town to buy hunting/fishing licenses.

I love Murphy's, their deli is amazing. And generally I have nothing but good things to say. But today I had a pretty unsatisfactory visit. I was at the checkout and it was my turn to be rang up. Without acknowledging me or even saying just a second the lady at the cash register turns around and starts a conversation with a customer that was someone she knew. And continued to conversate. Didn't say anything to me, didn't look at me again, didnt ring up my stuff. Nothing, just completely ignored me. Luckily another employee saw this and stepped away from stocking to help me. So thank you to her, but I left feeling so sad about a place I love.

Great place to shop and if it's not there, just ask for Nelson and he will accomplish anything!

Small little grocery story. Easy to access. Could use better inside lighting to see product while shopping.

Murphy's is a great little market in Trinidad, it's a bit pricey but it's nice to not have to go into town...they carry Humboldt Grass fed beef and meat and local favorites..i love Murphy's..
