Museum at Central School, housed in fully restored Richardsonian Romanesque stone & brick former Central School building (built 1894, restored 1998).

Ther museum is interesting in itself, but we used one of their rooms for a family went as well. It's an inexpensive but quality option for small to medium sized events in a historic location.

It was great getting to learn so much about the local history and the museum is stunning. My kids had so much fun. We have had the best vacation and are so thankful to Enjoy Montana for recommending that we explore here.

Multiple levels and rooms of historical exhibits to see and read here. A couple of nice ladies up at the front desk will help direct you to exactly what you want to see if you're in a hurry. If not they give you a little overview of the whole place. The building itself is also awesome! A very Grand and beautiful old school building. Super cool that it got to retire as a museum and not get knocked down to make way for a more modern School. I'm not sure what I enjoyed more the building or the exhibits LOL both are definitely worth your time if you're into history and learning. There's also a lot of green grass to get your kids out of the car for a run or a dog but clean up your doggy doo lots of people use this area

The Museum at Central School is an overlooked stop on a visit to Kalispell. It's a great rainy day activity and always keeps the kiddos engaged. Great eats right around the corner at the bistro.
