I liked this museum, but it was not tailored to me as a 20+ year old adult. There were really interesting exhibits, but it was a kids playground when I went. Ticket prices are very high for a museum. There is a lot to see and experience. The slow animal exhibit was really cool. I would recommend the lightening show but the theater fills up early so get there well before the show starts.
Me and my boyfriend came here after breakfast. It was the perfect indoor activity on a hot day. We came around 12 and was out by 2:30. Tickets were reasonably priced. We skipped a few exhibits because they were surrounded by kids so we didn’t get a chance to do them but knew that they enjoyed it more. We found it both fun, intriguing and educational. We really liked all the exhibits and the lighting presentation! We would def come back again!
The Boston Museum of Science is quite large and offers excellent amenities. There are plenty of interactive exhibits for kids, especially the Dinosaur section, which is fantastic. The staff at the museum were very helpful. Although there were long lines for tickets at the entrance, they moved quickly. We received a free pass since my company is a major sponsor of the museum. The museum features various shows and presentations, all of which were impressive. The electricity generation show, in particular, was outstanding and thoroughly enjoyable. Right outside the museum, you can also hop in to duck tour. Awesome location from Boston’s city centre.
This is a treasure of interactive educational exhibits for children 3-9y along with older siblings 10-11y and parents - outside of these age groups skip it. It has 3 levels with 6 wings. You can definitely spend half a day here but it does get crowded. For the age 3-9y and only time for 1 museum, Boston Children's Museum is more fun but smaller with a lot more fun interactive exhibits. Buy your tickets in advance: $31 per adult and $26 per child 3-11y.
Pretty busy over the weekend, but really cool lightening show and interesting animals such as the poison dart frog! Loved the installation modeling wave movement on the river. Cool to see robots in motion.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Definitely a fun place for the family! There are tons of things to do and learn. A lot of hands on learning! The electricity show is always fun to watch! So many exhibits, and not enough time to read through all of them. Wish there were more fill bottle water stations! I only found one. The stamping stations are fun. But some ran out of ink when we went. it does get crowded, muggy, and hot. There were times that people were nice and respectful of other patrons, and then there are those that don't. Good luck and have fun!
The Boston museum of science is very large. Great place for kids. Little troubling to get to with all the Boston traffic. I went during the time the Boston Bruins were playing so there was a lot a lot of traffic. All the amenities inside the museum were great. They have plenty for kids to play Dinosaur exhibits ice exhibits. Pets exhibits. Everything was awesome. At this museum all the employees were very helpful. There were very long lines for tickets at the entrance but it went by fast. I will definitely be returning to this museum in the future. With even more kids, I give it a 5 out of 5 for all the museums nearby this is the one to go to
As an avid dinosaur lover, this place was super fun. I got to yap my fiance's ear off about taxonomy but this time with diagrams! I love ceratopsian dinosaurs and was in awe at their triceratops model and skeleton on display. Everything else about the museum was amazing, I can't imagine anyone going inside and leaving without atleast 4 new facts. Also their food court and gift shop did not disappoint, but admittedly very pricey.
I’m a tourist geek. I like museums of all sorts. What I liked about the Boston Museum of Science is it was super easy to get tickets and navigate. Also, there were plenty of add-ons for a small fee. I did the 4D theater which was fun. Also, they had live animals which was neat to see in a museum. Overall a great place to go while in Boston.
It’s been about ten years since I last visited the museum of science. It was amazing to see all the changes they’ve made since my last visit and we had a great time exploring all the exhibits. From live animals to electricity, dinosaurs and engines they have something for everyone. Parking was easy and directly attached to the building which made it easy to navigate. The museum is definitely very kid oriented and is geared for families. As an adult I’d recommend checking some other local museums if you’re debating attractions in the area!
