Story

The Muslim Community Center is established and directed under the principles Islam and Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jama’a. The MCC is a venue for the Muslims to come together to worship, learn, network, socialize, and play. The MCC is a mosque and community center built for the growth and development of the Muslim American family. Our motto: “Pray hard, play hard!”

Mission

Enhancing and enriching the lives of Muslims in Utah by offering religious services based on Qur’an & Sunnah, as well as educational, cultural, community service, & recreational opportunities.

My introduction to this community center came about august of last year. I had been working across the street at the health food store for some time and did not notice it's discrete presence until being informed by a friend. I entered the house of worship sometime after his invitation and was pleasantly surprised by it's brightly lit interior which complimented the modern exterior. The building itself is relatively new in comparison to other mosques in the state. The founders have established a setting where varying age groups may learn in areas of study including the Arabic language, the Quran and further developmental activities engaging the whole family. The management are kind, sharp and enjoy dialogue with the people of greater salt lake for those with inquires, comments, or simply seeking knowledge.
