The Mutt Hut was founded in 1988 by Santa Maria local, Connie Jones who has been in the dog grooming business since the age of sixteen. Prior to grooming dogs with her mother, she participated in 4-H club where she was exposed to and fell in love with a variety of animals.
Connie originally went to college for accounting but loved working with animals so much she couldn't help but get back into the dog grooming business.
