Called to get a ride from Santee police station to fletcher pkwy la Mesa and the guy said it would be $10 only 3 min drive...first of all when the guy picked me up he went out of route because he forgot his credit card machine so he took me to his house which was out the way. Then took me to my destination when I went to pay he said it would be $20? I asked him why $20 he said because of how many miles? I told him that he added he's own miles onto my trip going to HIS house to pick up his machine. Which he started to get angry because He knew I was right, Plus he told me $10 over the phone, He then presumably charged my card $20 for what was suppose to be a 3 minute ride!!! 
I got played for supporting cab companies!!! 
Don't waste your money use uber or Lyft!!!!!

How do you rate a taxi business where you call a week in advance to set up a pick-up, then call the day prior to confirm, and then have the cab be a no-show, causing you to miss a very important medical appointment?

I take cabs , uber regularly from home in Talmadge to airport
12$ uber, 20$ cab.......never again with Santee
Even told driver going the looong way
41$, I had just spent 160$ flight Chicago to San Diego 
10 miles.....,so much for supporting cab companies!

First time I called didn't get good service about a month or 2 ago. Second time I called I got great service fast responses and decent updates on the time frames. The service was quick, got to my house within 15 minutes and got me to where I needed to go using the fastest route and the driver was nice. He made sure I had his number just incase I ever needed a ride again too. Moral of the story is call back.

I called to ask the cost of a ride -- the basics like the base cost plus mileage -- and the man I spoke to simply kept repeating 'I have no idea, no idea' and that the car would have a meter on it. When I tried to press for the cost of mileage he hung up on me! What sort of business does that?
