It is smaller than I expected for the price, that's why I gave 4 stars. It does not worth $31.44 unfortunately. We bought a group ticket from URI and it $17 per person, I think it is a fair price. I love the sea lions' show, it was amazing. You must see it if you go there. Also the penguins are really cute. So I recommend but I am not happy about the price.

Great family place. We bought the family membership. It pays for itself. Otherwise i think pricing could a turn off for some. My family had a great time. We've been here twice now. Overall, it's small. But, they do rehabilitation here which is cool and have a breeding program for the penguins, which is neat as well. Outside exhibits are ok. I suggest spring and summer if you want to see those. Some interactive exhibits for kids and lots of education to be gained here. Sea lion show is corny but family oriented and worth the trip in itself.

Definitely worth the trip, but it's expensive (as compared to similar attractions). The beluga whales are awesome. Lots of great exhibits here. Giving it only three stars as a direct comparison to other aquariums. Overall, this place is geared too much toward little children (too young to want to learn). They have countless tanks with nothing but a one word title, e.g. "Seahorses". It's not very educational. Most aquariums have a lot more information (that, granted, many people skip). They have a building (with the reptiles etc) that has more info, so that's good. The beluga whale info, for example, would be better placed outside with the whales.

This is a smaller aquarium compared to New York City or other major city establishments. However, this is probably Connecticut's nicest aquarium and it is much nicer than Norwalk. The staff is knowledgeable and excited to help people learn and appreciate the animals. This makes each visit more engaging as it is more than a simple walk through. There are also stations where you can touch sharks, crabs, or rays. The management is also very generous. There were some exhibits closed when we went so they gave us free passes to attend again. That is a very good business model as it shows they really are trying to help people experience and appreciate the creatures there. Though much of this aquarium is built toward children and young teenagers, the group I was with was adult only and we all still had a lot of fun. I recommend this for families and groups alike.

Have been here many times as a kid with fond memories. Came here recently with my three kids and had a great time. Was during school break so attendance was high but the size of the facility and the staff kept it manageable. Exhibits were nice with lots more interaction than I would have thought. Cafe is a bit on the pricey side but quality was decent.
