Food and service excellent. Hours of operation good. Live music on a regular weekly basis. On open mic night weekly. Owners commonly on site (own many local restaurants - presence ensures continuing quality service). Disabled access and parking good. Most tables are tall tables to high bar style tables. There are a few accessible tables but all placed directly in front of band area. Back quiet area has only high tables. If you are disabled with standard table height needed, better bring your ear plugs and don't count on casual dinner conversation. Four stars only because of specific desires of disabled access tables while music playing being available in quiet areas.

Mystic Cafe is part of the Happy Day Corporation and is upscale, Lewiston style. It is urban art gallery/espresso bar/bistro type of place. They feature open Mic nights on Tuesdays and "Top shelf" jazz on the last Saturday of each month. The interior is decorated in a combination rustic and industrial motif with bare bricks, wrought iron and antler chandeliers. The food is bistro style fare tempered by the local taste for simple basics. They offer up a small yet diverse selection of craft beers on tap as well as local wines. Their coffee is nothing short of outstanding. As you might expect of a bistro environment, their prices do range on the higher scale but again, being tempered by the local taste for simplicity prices are not astronomical. They have recently rearranged seating in the main dining room making IMO, more awkward.

Good atmosphere, good food, and nice staff, too! We passed through on a road trip and stopped for lunch. I got the California BLT and was happy with it, the ingredients tasted fresh and the side salad was well put together. Their fries come seasoned with salt and rosemary, which was a nice touch. Looked like they have good coffee and pastries, too, though my family and I didn't get any. I'll stop at Mystic again when I come through the area!

The food was great and we enjoyed the environment. Our order did take a little while to get to us. Other than that, it was an amazing cafe!

Great Place for Lunch. Good atmosphere, fast service and excellent sandwiches. The Thai Red Curry soup was excellent.
