I have been eating here for 20 years. They never disappoint. I don't care what I order, it is always absolutely amazing. The food and the service is impeccable. This is a gem in South Philadelphia. It is reasonably priced, but worth the price. The portions are really large. Vegetarian options: There are so, so many options. Dietary restrictions: They honor dietary restrictions. Parking: It's in a lot with plenty of parking. Kid-friendliness: There are foods a kid can eat. Wheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible.
The restaurant definitely needs an upgrade / renovation, lighting is dark, corners are dusty with no attention from owners and staff. Food is flavorless & poor presentation. If your menu listed Bun Mam to order and it s not a popular item which the chef probably cooked last week and lacking so many things except for broth and few broken pieces of fish, DONT SERVE IT!!! It is not worth a bad review and I will be happy to order something else. Veggie dish: even if you claimed it’s chopped, train your staff to scoop the veggie from top so it doesn’t include all the broken pieces and presentation ain’t so bad. Service: I pointed out to the servers about broken veggie and noddle soup lacking eggplant, roast pork, flavorless broth. No action taken. I made an attempt to come up to pay to give owner a chance to inquire about my experience, not a word was exchange. Lack of care from server, chef, and owner will be the failure of the business. There are so many options available and you just lost a customer. I hope you take bad review as a form of constructive criticism.
While Nam Phuong boasts a spacious dining area, it's important to note that the venue can get quite busy during weekends. The restaurant's ambiance, cleanliness, and service are pretty standard, neither outstanding nor disappointing. As for the food, I found it to be mediocre at best, leaning more towards the average side. A major drawback, however, is the parking situation. The restaurant shares a shopping plaza with a bustling supermarket and various other retail outlets and eateries, which makes parking especially challenging on the weekends. If you're planning a visit, brace yourself for a potential parking hunt!
A very authentic Vietnamese place with great food. We started off some complimentary tea that was nice touch on such a cold day. Then got some of the best spring rolls I’ve had; cooked to perfection. It was tough to pick what to get with such an expansive menu but both pho dishes I tried were fresh and tasty. They offer a lot of vegetarian options as well. A good place to try if you’re in the area.
I’m an out of towner, went here for the first time got #190 pork chops on the bone. It was great! The tea was awesome! Who doesn’t love Vietnamese iced coffee? FYI, ask for less ice, I finished mine in like 2 min. Everyone is friendly and nice! Hope to return soon.
Food and atmosphere are mid at best. It seems clean enough but as I sat down and pulled my chair forward there was gum under the seat. The table itself hadn't seemed to be wiped down throughly and used napkins were still on the surrounding seats. As I placed the orders it seemed they couldn't get it right as one of my dishes were incorrect granted they fixed it after I asked. Needed water never really got refills. Overall tbh wouldn't eat here make the food yourself.
It was good pho, but it wasn't the best. The last time I went there was a hair in my soup and they didn't make me another one or give me a discountFood: 3/5
Love the deluxe pho! Large portions and well worth the price. It's my favorite lunch and dinner spot. Staff are friendly and service is quick.Food: 5/5
I been to this place few times. I like their veggie pho with beef broth, they add all mix veggies and tofu in it. Broth are usually fresh and tasty. They have nice veggie summer rolls and fried spring rolls too. This place provide hot tea during winter-days. Service is average but food prices are reasonable. Restaurant is spacious and there are bunch other pho places next door but this is nicer place for dine in compare to them.
Great Vietnamese in Philadelphia! The restaurant gets busy but it’s a big space and the service is good. We started with a papaya salad not too sweet, then ate a chicken curry coconut dish and tofu mixed vegetable egg noodles. All dishes were of high quality.
